The long standing never answered question, how old is Ash?

The series has ran for 12-13 years and we know he was 10 in episode 1.

But their has been references throughout where a year has passed by I know of on 2 occasions early on.

But nothing has ever been concrete on giving him a proper age throughout the series after the first season.

I thought this new look he got in Black and White actually aged him some from previous seasons and would put him at 12.

Anyone got anything to add?

imo ash should be abt 13-14 years seeing kanto would be like +3 months, johto is like +1 year, houen i think +4 months then kanto +3 months then sinnoh +1 year.

If anything, when they went from the original voice actor to whatever icky one they replaced (since they dropped 4kids and whatnot), he sounded older then. Though physically, I think he looks the same, unless he's meant to be a midget in life.

really he looked older in the beginning than he did the start of Ruby and Sapphire when they changed the art style.

But in B&W he looks kind of older than he ever has before.

Truly its not out of the question for someone as old as at least 13-14 to look like how Ash does either.

Noteworthy that when Ash returned to Viridian City, he made a note that it'd been a year since he was there last. And yet he was still 10. Go figure.

20 year running series that took place within about a 2 year period.

But the references made in English, was it ever made in Japanese that it was a year since they was there last?
or the part about the Movie where Ash said it been a year since he met Pikachu?

Thats key.

But I firmly believe they aged Ash in Black and White.

there are some indications of his birthday like when he got back to Viridian and movie 3.
But yeah in the last 15 or so seasons ash should have aged.

His new Style in the B/W series makes him look chibi ish imo.
