Tournament at Megacon?

So, FL people. Anyone going to Megacon and playing in a tournament? (i think there are two) Will it be me and a bunch of 9 year olds battling it out?
Actually, are the tournaments even sanctioned?

So many questions.
 
I don't believe there is any Pokemon. The Megacon events don't show any Pokemon going on. About 4 years ago there was a tournament, but it was rather poorly received. The Megacon ticket cost a lot and limited attendance.
 
According to the Website there will be open play on Friday and a tournament Saturday afternoon. Heidi Craig should be the Tournament Organizer (listed as Giest on the Megacon website). You can contact her directly via email ([email protected])
 
well. Heidi wasn't there and a grand total of four people played in the "tournament"
I won, though. And got some POP 7 cards as a prize.
