Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Trainer Card Categoization List (For Current Modified Format)

I know that for some of the newer players, knowning which Trainers go are best suited for a certain play style can be hard. As well as it being complicated for experienced players to easily find the specific Trainers they need for that "special" edge in their decks.

That's why I created this list of the different Trainer cards. I orginally found an article similar to it in a old Pojo magizine, and thought it would be a good idea to update it for the new Modified (the Pojo article was written before the Team Rocket set release).

BTW, if any League Leaders here want to use this at their league, feel free. That's why I orginally created it in the first place. :wink:

Pokemon TCG "Trainer" Card Categorization via Set
By: PK_Falco [Pokemon Professor] (of PokeGym and POP Professor Forums)

For the 2004-2005 Pokemon TCG Modified Format (as of April 19th, 2005)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Note...
<-> Trainers may be repeated throughout this guide, due to reprints in current 2004-2005 POP "Modified" format's sets.
<-> Trainers may be repeated in multiple categories, due to the various actions the card can offer. However, a reason for these cards in each section is listed, so it is easier to see which card(s) is / are best suited for the specific action taking place.
<-> "Normal" Trainer cards are listed with only the card name and card number (unlike the other categories of Trainer cards).
<-> And just in case you were wondering, those "status enhancers" are not *those* kind of "status enhancers" (XD).
I believe ATM: rock belongs in the disruption part. It DOES return cards to their hand after all.
Yeah, it seems I forgot that. I will add that when I get ready to upload the PP/PB document.
Great job. Can't wait for the Body/Power one. Will there be an attack one? That could be even more handy, but I'd imagine it would be really long.
I was thinking of doing that (that would be really helpful). I just need to wait till AP exams are over, as well as the WPB EX: Emerald Prerelease (both finish after next Saturday).
The Power/Body is almost done. Just need to finish categorizing the Body's, as well as adding condensed version of their powers (heh, just noticed this got 200 views now).
BTW, I'll try to add the new Emerald Trainers w/ the next update, since the text was leaked.
(Sorry for the delay in a update. AP Exams have taken up my free time lately. BTW, I am re-posting the updated article here, since for some reason, I cannot update the original post---I am going to contact the admins about that)
