Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Turn 1 Omastar is it possible?

But then how would you get 1st turn Gardevoir RS? The answer is Pichu after Juggler. Then Star Piece. Not saying that should go with Omastar but it can work on any evo.

And how are you planning on getting Gardy out on turn one...? ;)

That's the only new rule I like, no evo first turn of the game. Easy to judge and easy to understand.

So not with a poke power, not as an effect of a trainercard and NOT as an effect of an attack.
No hand off evo and no trigged evo, just NO evo.
Placing a next stage card on another is just not allowed, doesn't matter were it came from.

Ah now that is a wrong assumption.. if you could place a card rather than play a card and if it didn't say this counts as evolving that pokemon then I think you could do it. As it is Omanyte can be in play turn one and that is fine.

personally I would rather keep the rule simple .. as per the rule book unless the card says otherwise... I can see no reason for Omanytes attack unless it was to evolve just after you had already evolved to omanyte or to evolve the turn omanyte comes into play ... if that happens to be turn one well so be it..

Meaby it's because i'm just a little lazy I like the rule as I stated it.
It's much easier for me as judge, translator and teacher of 50 playing kids under the age of 13 to say it the way I did above.

But I also explained that in the Trainer discarding topic.

Hmmm.

Looks like I may need a new Magic 8 Ball...

Rules meeting tonight.

exceptions don't prove rules. exceptions show that the rule isn't quite right!
[/pedant hat off] :D

or it proves that rules are designed to be manipulated to suit your needs............

you don't break rules.......... just whenever u challenge the rule.......... argue until the correct side gives up!!!

that's how i passed a class last semester!!!

kids don't try this at home......... i'm a professional
