Hey Everyone! I haven't played in quite some time, so I'm a little unaware of what's hot right and staples to include, but I wanted to create a deck with one of my favorite Pokemon, Tyrunt, so this is what I came up with. I want this deck to be for Standard format, so if I put in any cards that are not standard, feel free to let me know!

Pokemon (14)
4 Tyrunt
4 Tyrantrum
3 Eevee [Energy Evolution]
3 Flareon [Stage 1 = Fire Ability]

Trainers (26)
4 Fossil Researcher
4 Blacksmith
4 Fiery Torch
4 Scorched Earth
4 Muscle Band
4 Ultra Ball
2 Switch

Energy (20)
12 Fire
4 Fighting
4 Strong

Strategy: Goal is to get a Turn 2 Tyrantrum with a Fighting and 2 Fire from Blacksmith. You are guaranteed to start with Eevee, but I'm not sure if the mulligans for your opponent will be worth it. But turn 1 you should attach Fire to Eevee, evolve, and use Fossil Researcher to get Tyrunts in play. Then turn 2 you need to evolve to Tyrantrum and Blacksmith Energy on him, retreat Flareon, and you're good to go.

Let me know if there's a better way to pull this off, or if I might be missing something big. Thank you!

It's an interesting idea, but the first issue I see is WAY too much energy. 20 is a LOT, and without Battle Compressor running your fire energy to where you want it, your consistency in getting down the Tyrantrum will be too low. Don't get me wrong, I like the idea and I think it has potential, but there's almost no draw support to build up late-game consistency here. The 4/4 and 3/3 Pokemon lines are suitable, but you'll likely need at least 2 Shaymin to help with draw, since your supporter line focuses heavily on both Fossil Researcher and Blacksmith to get going, cutting off space for strong draw Supporters like Sycamore.

Average competitive decks seem to run at least 6 draw supporters, in any mix of Sycamore, Shauna and Birch. Similarly, most decks seem to get by perfectly well on less than 14 energy cards, and the ones that even use that many often do more damage for it. Think a moment, the two decks in the finals of last year's Nationals used zero and seven energy cards to get the job done they needed to do. Cards like Acro Bike and Trainers Mail tend to get better results than things like Fiery Torch, since you don't need a specific card in your hand to use them.

I'd see a better lineup looking something like...
6 fire
3 fighting
4 strong (opens 2 shaymin slots and 5 trainer slots)

Then the trainer line might look more like...
3 Fossil Researcher
3 Blacksmith
3 Scorched Earth (more as a counter stadium than actual draw most of the time)
3 Sycamore
3 Muscle Band
2 Switch
3 Battle Compressor (more effective in putting cards in discard)
3 VS Seeker (get back supporter cards, even ones you compressor into discard just to grab)
3 Ultra Ball
2 Evosoda (alternate way to evolve without giving Flareon energy, also searches Tyrantrum without discards)
3 Trainer's Mail

Even with all that, we're still short other decent staples like Lysandre.
