Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

UK Battle Road Tournaments

There's a new ride at the Pleasure Beach! (its pretty good too, actually)

Someone come to my BR! :\

MG

I will come on the following conditions-
-You pay for my travel.
-You wake me up early enough to get there- bear in mind im on the lash the night before.....
-You gurantee I win (i want Pikachu trophy card thingymajiggs!:lol:)
-The pleasure beach sells good, sugary, artery filling donuts. And that ride is as good as you say it is!
-You console Ben- if i went to urs i wouldn't be able to make it to his BR, and i KNOW he would start crying. Better console Ian too.

Any megabus stations near you?

Dude, I taught my players= you'd win

Have you ever been to Bpb? If you had, surely you would not question the sugar content of their foodstuffs. The ride is damned good, its a great rush steely. Stefan nearly threw up after his fourth consecutive ride if that convinces you?

This sounds either expensive or against POP fraternization rules. Then again I was brought up catholic...

Oh yeah and vaguely wandering into officialdom, don't forget people these BRs are DX-PK. No Diamond&Pearl, however much you want to show off your shiny Infernape.

I still have no idea what a Battle Road actually is. You get a CARD for winning?

a card (which is ACTUALLY very playable!) and 8 boosters. Oh, and please come to my EX tourney!

It's only playable in select decks, and then you'd need at least 4 for consistency (which is difficult to obtain).

Anna, yes three other players turned up in seniors. So plus 13 probably (thats good for a UK Battle Road). Nicholas will finish around 1930. Which isn't enough. Fingers crossed for next year.

Nicholas has now won all 6 battle roads that he has traveled too. All three STPs, 4 out of six CCs ( 4x1st, 1x2nd and 1x3rd) he hasn't lost to a higher rated player all season, but then he hasn't ever played against one this year. Two losses out of age group were to highly respected masters (Andy Stone and Bruce Kelf), he also lost to me once but its always 50-50 when we play, in a couple of years time I expect it will be more like 70-30 in his favour.

He has lost 6 times this year in his own age group. Unfortunately two of them were late season at nationals to flariados: single game swiss gives you no way of recovering from the fast T2 decks if you don't get either a bench or draw in the first couple of turns. In play testing we usually beat flariados. But not on the day when it counted most. Ah the joys of Pokémon LOL.

He's had a very good and consistent season. I'm very proud of him.

One last chance for a place at worlds. We now have to work up a D&P deck for the grinder this year.

Wow. Awesome work Nich, you're the TRUE National Champion. Don't let bad luck depress you, the same could have happened to any of us. Next year you won't have me to worry about :D

Just to say- cheers ben, nigel and ian for a great event today!
I won masters which actually surprised me considering the first game of the decider with Daryl! What a nightmare! Wake up Mr Andy.....

Ian: Nick has had a tremendous season, no one could claim otherwise! I think everyone here would join me in wishing him the best of luck to get that invite!

Now you are just being silly:D. We do hope for a play set of nationals trophies. Nicholas has by far the best chance of any of us in our family. Have to beat Sami to the playset! ;)

I haven't seen much of Nich playing, but from his record, he seems to be a flawless player, or certainly very close. In the remaining years Nich has in Seniors, he can only get better and that leaves no reason why not. Are there better players in Seniors?

Nich's success has been somewhat inverse to mine  At all the tourneys I've had bad luck at (two games today at a battle road I FAILED at where I started with no energy or supporters), Nich's done really well at, while Nich's bad luck cropped up at Nationals. We all have our bad days, it's tricky but we can't let it get to us.
