Okay we still have no confirmation from TPfG about CCs in the UK.. John Hawkins has got one planned in London for the weekend 25/26 November 2006 and I am planning one in Kent for the first weekend that was proposed for the start of the CC season.

NOTE this is yet to be officially confirmed but TPfG but we can't wait any longer :(without at least scheduling some.... So working in advance of confirmation we have:

Just as a sidenote, TPFG told us that there will be only one CC per city this year, unlike the maximum of two CC's per city of last year. Also, CC's should be between december and february (as we've been told). No more information other than that was given, unfortuantly. No doubt we should get all the information soon...

I rather doubt that my own league (Norwich) and London,Rainham,Bournmouth etc will only have one CC as TPFG will want to have as many CC's as possible as to maximise qualification for UK nats. Certainly last year they were keen to run multiple CC's and when I last spoke to Carl and Lee the impression was it would by and large be the same. However time will tell.............

John says the London one will be at Homerton Library as usual, on the 25th.

With luck I'll be in Rainham next week, look forward to seeing any of the over players who can make it.

At Worlds Carl was definately indicating that there would not be multiple CCs held at the same location. One CC per venue was what was indicated.

Maybe, although I doubt it! If we dont have many CC's this year I fail to see where the places for UK nats will come from bearing in mind there are no rankings as only premier tourneys attract ranking points. If we are only going to rely on one CC per city and a handful of regionals then UK nats is going to be a very select affair! Perhaps we can get some of the Woburn animals to take part and fill up the places!! Lol

much like in previous years.. the ratings system provides the extras. So again much like in previous years if you play in a CC or regional tournament then you will most probably qualify for nationals.

Of course the biggest problem with not knowing what is happening is that the time available for effective advertising disappears :(. It looks like once again much of the advertising will be published after the events have taken place. I do hope that this season we will have sufficient notice of the regionals that they can all be advertised in Pokemon world.

I have updated with Hull, Manchester and Norwich

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

No hope of any getting in before January issue now .. Unfortunately we get no notice at PW either ..

Hands up!! I was wrong! I spoke to Carl earlier and he confirmed that each location is to hold only one CC. Although he did say that the large Cities could probably hold more than one as long as they were in different venues. Also later next year (march/april) there will be a couple of big tourneys to boost the ranking qualifiers( regionals, I guess!)
