Welcome everyone. We are up and playing in round 1 of the 2009 Pokemon World Championships.

I will be providing updates throughout the weekend. The official Worlds mini-site (http://www.go-pokemon.com/worlds/2009/) will be posting standings after each round. I'll let you know when to check for the latest updates.

The site has the official announcement for Pokémon™ HeartGold Version and Pokémon™ SoulSilver up now. It will be released next Spring.

The Japanese TV show Pokemon Sunday is here filming.

Finland, ftw! I'm especially rooting for Heikki, who's probably our best junior player. Go get 'em!

Master and Senior pairings just went up for round 2. We have a time extention in Juniors.

We have a new feature at this year's Worlds. We will have a "Featured Match" each round being played on the Main Stage and being shown on the big screen.

The first match features the Masters Argentina National Champion Diego Cassiraga against the Finland National Champion Esa Juntunen.
