Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

(Un)Official Worlds Top Cut Thread

Gotta love that none of the top three decks in Masters were SPs like most people thought they were going to be. 2 Flygons and Speedrill winning is awesome.

Congrats to all!

Congrats Steve! Nice job on becoming the new Champ bud!:thumb:

Also a big hand for the junior and senior players!!!

Yes, I guess just anyone can pick up a Beedrill deck and win Worlds. Beating a 4 National Champions along the way.

Congrats to Steven Silvestro. One of the most consistent players in this game for the last 10 years.

Only a handful of other players have had the long-term success that Stephen has had. It's good to see him get the big prize.

Well said, I just spoke to Steve and Sami and it seems Steve played out of his skin today and made only 1 mistake all day...........thats tough to do when you have so much to gain and so many people watching you, lets not forget he was 1-2 down at one stage. Well done Steve and congrats on selling your card for 7.5k

Spend it wisely (like on a new Rolex for me!)

I am very proud of Sami too, of course he was gutted that he lost but he knew he was in trouble with such a bad match up (Steve had techs for everything going............sheeeesh Hannah Montana could have turned up and he would have had a tech to silence her warbling)

Well done for being a pro sport!

Congrats to both of you and your invite for next year (by the way, you both have to wear a mankini hawaii styley)

Mozz :thumb:

Beedrill sweeps worlds? From LCQ to Worlds Championship?
Such a Cinderella story. THIS IS DELICIOUS.
Steve did not grinder in, he had an invite.
To all the 1-2 drops..........it coulda been you if you had the heart of a champion!
Steve, you are the heart of a champion!

I think theres a typo on the site, it says hes a senior when he is a master :p

Congrats to everyone who Made top cut!

Not to bash you or silvestro, but it really doesn't take that much skill to play a beedrill deck compared to an SP or a Flygon deck. The strategy is pretty straight forward

I just got to read this post.

My beedrill deck has 4 poketurns, luxray gl x, crobat, cyrus, gains sp radar.

Dude, think before you post.

he used hurricane punch and only threw 1 heads

ya thats way to risky in a game like that lolit would have been better to just use take out 4 then lv. up next for guarentee ko but eh just luck i guess either way you are awesome for making the coolest beedrill list lol i would love to see the worlds deck for this lol hope you have fun with your winnings from worlds and congrats again =]

So glad you won Stephen. Don't listen to anybody who says that Speedrill doesn't take skill, etc., etc. It seems that people were saying the same thing last year regarding Jason's win ("GG doesn't take skill to use, blah blah blah"). You represent the game the best way you know how: playing fierce, playing good, and... being a Sox fan, haha.

Does anyone know if there is a Japanese video of the finals. This one is so fast I can only see Luxray X, Uxie, and Claydol.
