So, after deciding not to go to Kings Games for the first week of BRs due to the fact that I didnt have a deck I felt comfortable playing. I worked on a few decks. I finally decide that I should go to the event that has the least amount of players. I figured none of the "elite" players would be going and I should still be able to win and not worry about having horrible starts. So I get some help from Kettler and Chad, as my playtest partner had finals all week and wasnt available. I go wtih Empoleon/Omastar.
R1 - ???????? (Random Psychic.dec)
He starts off with slowpoke I start with Piplup. I get a T3 Empoleon up. I am having trouble drawing anything other than Empoleon lines. Finally I get a claydol up and proceed to 6-0 him.
Win (1-0)
R2 - ???????? (Empoleon/Mantine/Fossils)
He starts off wtih Piplup as do I. His deck has the problem of once he loses a pokemon he has trouble recovering as he doesnt play any Scramble or Claydols. He gets an Empoleon up and does 30/30. I ko his Empoleon as I had already laid 30 on it with Dual Splash. I then do Surf Together and proceed to ko him and ko one of my bench pokemon. Next turn I Surf Together again and flip tails again and ko another one of my pokemon. I ko the next 2 pokemon and end up benching him after only taking 4 prizes.
Win (2-0)
R3 - Jeff - (Infernape MD & DP/Togekiss/Moltres)
I get a very fast Empoleon but I have a few difficulties after he ko's my Empoleon with Moltres. The fact that I can't OHKO his Togekiss is a pain, and the fact that they heal themselfs if the flip tails isnt that great either for me. However once I get my Claydol up I start cycling thru my cards and end up running thru his water weak deck.

T2 - Jeff - (Infernape MD & DP/Togekiss/Moltres)
G1 - My draw is horrible. I start with a Piplup and a Call Energy. So, I planned to get my Chatot, but what do you know the one game I actually need it, it is prized. I end up getting out 5 Pokemon in my first 2 turns (Baltoy and 4 Piplup). The only problem is I am drawing nothing but RC and Energy, which doesnt help me. After he ko's 2 of my Piplup. I finally get a Celio's Network and grab Claydol. I then proceed to Cosmic draw into the Empoleon and then Scramble my active Empoelon that I just rare candy. I beleive I start spreading damage here. I end up taking the next 3 prizes before he ties it up again with his Infernape Lv. X. I then grab suicune to get back some of the pokemon that have been knocked out. I then proceed to do 60 due to weakness and 30 to his benched Togekiss. He already had 60 on him so he Fire Monkey Lv. X is ko'd. I proceed to take the next 2 prizes and win G1.
G2 - As bad as my start in G1 was, this was worse. To add insult to injury, his starting hand is much better than mine. I have nothing and I know it. I do luckily have Call Energy. He goes first however, and uses find a friend and grabs Togekiss. I go and decide that I will attach my call and get some pokemon. I get Chatot and Piplup as my hand was pretty bad and Baltoy wasnt my main concern because I was sure that there was no way I was getting Claydol up next turn. So he goes and uses masterball and ends up grabbing another Togekiss, which means he has 2 in his hand. So, he Evolves to Togetic and does 20. I top deck a Baltoy and then play Wager which I was holding since I wanted to get someone setup before using it. But him having 2 Togekiss in his hand didnt help me out too much. He also has a TogepI and Chimchar on the bench. I Wager and proceed to lose it. I draw Celio/Candy/Helix Fossil. So I am happy that I am okay. I then use call energy (I am asleep from yawn) so I grab 2 Piplup. He manages to get the Togekiss back and ko's my active Piplup. I then proceed to send up Chatot, and get Claydol and draw the Empoleon. I proceed to ko his active Togekiss. To make a long story short, he ends up having only 2 Monferno in play I do 50/30 (due to weakness). Next turn I burn a celio's by getting nothing and Cosmic Power for 3. I draw the Warp Point. I bring up and retreat Chatot and I proceed to bench him by doing 50 to the Monferno that has 30 and 30 to the one that has 50 and win G2 and the Tourney.
Win (4-0/5-0)
So I win my first BR that I played at this season. I really have to think of what to change because my starts were horrible. I may add a few phione but the list is soooo tight that I am not sure. I will most likely make a few changes and then decide based on that what to do.
