Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Update:PKMN Leaf Green, Fire Red, Emerald!!!!

there are some different things too. Apparently there are hidden islands and there could be some more undiscovered stuff.

That is correct...

There are 2 secret islands....one island is where we will meet up on an old friend....hehehe....I'll tell you who it is next time....The other is a new person. I think it is a girl, but the name maybe a boy's. Also the bottom 2 pics from the link are mini-games, like jump rope and the other one is the stadium 2 game w/Chansey except now its Dodrio.

See ya

The old friend being refered to is Bill, you end up meeting him on one of the two islands and an assistant on the other island. The purpose for the islands are still unknown. For anyone wondering about the main characters, let me clear things up by saying it is NOT Satoshi/Ash or Shigeru/Gary. Everyone's mistaken the two with the videogame counterparts, Red and Green. In Fire Red/Leaf Green, you choose to either be Red (Male) or Blue (Female), and your rival will always be Green. Quite alot will be added into the game, such as battling with Ruby/Saphire copies against FR/LG copies. With that, the Special stats will most likely be split into Special Attack and Special Defense, along with updating the old moves (such as Amnesia now boosting up Spec. Defense instead of Spec. Attack). It may be a possibility that Pokémon such as Cleffa, Igglybuff, Pichu, Crobat, Blissey and so forth may be obtainable in FR/LG due to this update and due to Happiness Evolution and Egg Raising.

Even though this game is being widely announced and advertised on the net, Nintendo of America has yet to even state a word about the game, possibly due to the Motorola Wireless Adapter being included with the game (which is being given a limited release in Japan, about 500k being released). If they were to state a release date, it'd most likely come around Summer time and (like the Crystal version) may have some features removed in the US.

Elite Trainer Raven, one side note.

some people do NOT want their game spoiled. If you are going to post spoilers, do one of the following:
1)Warn us by writing something like *spoilers* and skip many lines before posting the message.
2)Post in white, so if people want to know what you wrote they can highlight it.

Spoilers for a game? Isn't this a discussion on the two games? If we can't post anything on the games that will spoil it, then what's the point of talking about them? ETR was just summarizing everything on the game we know so far from various websites.

Everything I posted is far from spoilers. I basically listed everything that was new to the remakes. If I didn't, would you even buy it? Some people see these games as nothing but cheap gimmicks and don't see what the point to rereleasing these games are. I listed everything known so far. Everything I said is nothing you won't find on the official Japanese site, or on fansites such as Serebii.net. If it WERE spoilers, it'd be something that actually affected the plot royally that no one knew about before or events that occur in the end that are different from the originals. Hopefully this clears things up.

Elite Trainer Raven...

The male character are remakes of Ash, but Ash himself. The character is what Ash would have looked like in the updated version, which this is. So we play an Ash look alike, not Ash himself, even though he is called Red, just like Ash in G/S/C and the past games too. This game is nothing more than an update, with bits of extras. Unfortunately, the TM and HM are not going to be changed to the old Red, Blue, Green TM and HM, but will be the one's for R/S. I am upset about that.....

It's not the same character. Satoshi/Ash is a completely different character who only exists in the anime and Toshiro Ono's manga series. Remember, the games came much before the anime did in Japan. The main characters have always been Red and Green. In the G/S/C series, they even specify that the characters are Red and Green (well, Blue in the US). The reason for the character update is so everyone can stop confusing the characters off of the anime ones. Remember, Red came much before Satoshi did.

Well....

I am not saying that these characters are not Ash!! I'm saying that these characters are suppose to represent Ash(because they look like him). The LF/FR version is just an update.

Satoshi was built off of the PokéGreen image of 'the character' (wanna see what he looks like? Load pokémon blue using the green/blue pallate).

Ok....whatever Elite Trainer Raven...

Anyways I have cool news...www.pokeschool.com has posted a link to 2 nice looking commericals of PKMN LG/FR. They look awesome and just makes me want them more... :(

I'm still upset that this game has the same TM and HM as R/S though.

See ya

Thought it sucks, I think it was to eliminate the possible ideas that players might get, such as equipping TMs to Pokémon and trading them into Ru/Sa. Two results could possibly happen if such were the case. Either Ru/Sa would read the TMs by their number and display them as the Ru/Sa TMs. Or, the game would glitch out and crash. This wasn't a problem back in G/S/C cause you couldn't see equipped items in R/B/Y.

Though, I do say it's alot better actually working to get certain moves on Pokémon through breeding instead of TMs. Back when it was just the first six games, certain Pokémon could only learn a certain move from either breeding or through a Kanto TM (if it was originally Pokémon that could be found in Kanto). Let's use Blissey for example. As a Chansey in R/B/Y, it could learn Thunder Wave by TM. But because Thunder Wave isn't a TM in Johto, this calls for either bringing a Chansey into R/B/Y and teaching it TW or by Breeding a Chansey or Blissey with a Male Pokémon that has TW. Sorry to say, but I like feeling like my hard work paid off. :p
