Please, please tell me I'm misreading this.

Does Bad Temper make the your opponent's Pokemon do 60 more damage to the your Pokemon?

I really, really hope I'm just tired and unable to comprehend PUI's occasionally incompetent American. Seriously, how could any Pokemon have such a HORRIBLE attack?

he does 60 to himself if he flips tais
is the opponent going to take the chance of doing 90 to themselves?

The extra damage is an effect placed on the defending Pokemon. Evolving (to clear the confusion) will cause you to lose the extra damage, as will retreating and attacking with something else.

The card still sucks, it just sucks slightly less than you think. It's an annoyance card due to the confusion effect, and that's about all it has going for it.

They might since that would never happen. A tails flip on confusion adds 3 damage counters to the pokemon and does not deal 30 damage to him. The +60 damage would not get added in that case. Also confusion flip occurs after the attack was announced but before the attack happens (step f if I remember correctly). If the flip is tails the attack is halted so no +60 damage.

If that's right then it's the worst attack ever, well other than that treeko that did 1 energy for flip a coin, if heads do 10 damage.

    This is a terrible card.

lol ya, no it doesnt make them take 90, ya if there attack took self damage theyd get +60 on top of that but not from the confusion

in that case, this is the worst card i have ever laid eyes on

well idk its not TERRIBLE compared to most cards

if you can keep hurting your baby bear then you got a 100 damage attack on a 100hp stage 1, boostable, its decent for an unplayable card

id say about 90% of cards are unplayable anyway and this is one of the better ones of those

a better unplayable card is still unplayable

Well... It at least has some great artwork. It would only be useful in a metagame full of self inflicting attacks

I think that they do take the 60+ damage, because the attacks says: During your opponent's next turn that pokemon's attacks do 60 more damage to the active pokemon.
And since he is an active pokemon he takes damage too. It functions just like swagger in the pokemon video games.

This is taken directly from the go-pokemon.com website dealing with confusion

When you attack with a Confused Pokémon, you flip a coin. On heads, the attack works normally, but on tails your Pokémon receives 3 damage counters and ends the attack. (Only apply Weakness and Resistance for actual damage, not damage counters.) The Active Pokémon receives 3 damage counters even if its attack normally does not do damage (like Treecko’s Poison Breath attack).

Because a failed flip adds 3 damage counters (not 30 damage) to the attacking pokemon the +60 would not happen. Previous rulings dealing with Strength Charm and Life Drain (which adds damage counters not damage) verify this.

actually, it's 'plus 60', on a tails it does 90 to itself, if i've read this right

    ignor this...

If you flip tails, you dont do damge to yourself. You simply place 3 damage counters on yourself. This attack is to tempt them to attack while confused. If they get tails, they place 3 damage counters on there pokemon. But if they get heads, your defending pokemon is gonna get hit with an extra 60 damage thanks to yourself.

Just remember. Its to make temptation. "Maybe i should attack i may do 60 more damge to them" They get tails "Crap, should have retreated."

    Hope this helps any confusion.
