Using Community Events to Grow Your League

Thanks for sharing this wonderful experience!! Such a great idea! You talk about giving stuff away. Will POP support that if we let them know of the event ahead of time? otherwise, where does the give away stuff come from if I don't buy stuff to give away?

You can ask them. I can't say if they will or not. I had card boxes and pencils that I had gotten at various times.
I will say that I went through a lot of stuff on the givaways!

On the other hand, if you have a lot of common and/or uncommon cards, giving one out to each kid would probably work just as well.
One of my League Profs put down some extra cards for the kids after I ran out of goodies and they generated more excitement than anything else!

Another idea that I have, and just haven't implemented yet, is to use Badge-a-minit to make badges for the kids using empty packs that I've been saving.

The commons and/or uncommon idea is a good one.

Is Badge-a-minit the type of little machine that makes a circle badge in a plastic cover? or something like that? Are you talking about the empty shiny booster packages? hmmmm?? If you do that, will you please show us what you do? Sounds cool!

Yes, that's it.
I've done it in the past at school functions.
Aside from using the shiny booster packages, you can also use cards, but you'd want to peel the paper layers apart, otherwise it's too thick and doesn't form the seal correctly.
 
I really like the idea of using the shiny foil booster packages...I think they'd look shiny and COOL!!! enticing to little kids! :smile:
 
interesting story PokePop looks like they made those other jumbos during the ex series after all and not just the 3 starter ex's
