If I use Vanilluxe (NXD) Slippery Slopes ability to switch my active Pokemon to a Wobbuffet (PHF) does my opponent still switch their active Pokemon? I didn't know if Bide Barricade kicked in during the Slippery Slopes or after it.

Once you start an action, it cannot be interrupted. From the Game's point of view both Actives are switched at the same time. To keep the game state "simple" someone goes first and then someone goes second.

I asked this question in the ask the rules team a week ago and still no response yet. The answer may not be as cut and paste as it seems therefore. Since Vanilluxe's ability is a 2 part clause, it seems actually logical that ptcgo is correct here

When you use the Ability, it creates an effect. The Wobbuffet becoming active prevents the Ability from being used, but does not prevent the created effect from continuing.
