So I covered Natures, IVs and EVs, MT covered movesets and combos, so lets combine what we learned....

When Breeding your Pokes always consider the Pokes Stats and Move Set when picking its Nature and EVs. Using a combonation of IVs EVs and Nature makes a world of Difference. Blissey is one of the best examples of this, especially when it comes to his Physical Defense.

Blissey @ lvl 100, no Defense EVs and a mediocre (we'll say 15) IV only has a defence of 40.

A different Blissey bred with perfect IV in defense, all 252 Evs in Defense and a Defensive Nature gets a Defense of 130.

See the differnce. Thats 90 points in a stat because
A) you used Nature to boost it
B) you got a perfect IV
C) you maxed it out in EVs

Normally when you train Defensive Pokemon you will concentrate these factors on there defences and HP, and most attackers you will concentrate mostly in speed and there attack. That DOES NOT mean thats were all there stats should go, every Pokemonm is different, I get most of my wins simply becuase on my main tourney Pokes I concetrate on my Speed. A few extra EVs in speed make a world of difference in the same Poekmon, it means striking first. I normally compete in 3-3, which is where I really excell. I usually have a good wall, a good Special Sweeper and a good physical sweeper.

In 2-2 concentrate on what will make the team work more fluidly together. Its usually better to take some kinda combo/plan and try to make it work. Alot of people have been using Groudon + Shiftry/Exeggutor. It works well, but I dont think its a big threat to a trainer who sees it coming and is prepared for it. Knowing how to pull off your combos while preventing your Opponent's from going off is how you win. Plain and simple.

With good training techneques and good battle knowledge, you can do well here. Even if you loose you will know that you did you best, and thats what really matters.
