Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

West Stadium*July 17th, UC Berkeley*Door Prizes listed-1st ed Base Charizard + more**

Just so everyone knows I have moved the Hotel list and driving directions off the main page, but added links to our website where they are now listed. This was to make it so the first post was not as long. Plus later this week will will have all the information up on the side events, so keep checking back.

REMEMBER IS YOU WOULD LIKE TO HELP JUDGE AT THE WEST COAST STADIUM PM BDS.

HUZZAH! Finally, a Bay Area event!

I wouldn't miss this one for the world. (^_^) (How ironic though, I would have to miss Worlds for this one.)

Another judging slot filled!

Chris Clanton has thrown his hat into the ring as a member of the judging staff for the BEST Stadium Challenge in the US. Pacific Northwest Pokemon players will know Chris from his work on Premier events in Oregon and his participation in events from Utah to Washington. We are lucky to have him on staff, and that happened because he just won the Washington Gym Challenge yesterday. Congratulations Chris!

OK, let's get some staff from the Southwest now. We want a well rounded team don't we? You Professors in California, Utah, Colorado, Nevada and Arizona get those PMs coming.

BDS, WCSC Tournament Judge

You dont have to miss Worlds for this one. Worlds is in August 20 - 22, and the WCSC is July 17th. Plus we will have a total of trips to Worlds that will be given out so you might make both. :D

what is the format? modified, Unlimited, etc and can you please specify what sets can be used

The main tournament will be Modified which you can use the sets Expedition thur Hidden Legends.

There will be a FREE Unlimited side event with some really good prizes later on in the day for all players that want to play. Plus GBA side events and also a booster draft for those that want to play in that.

The WCSC is just across the Bay, one trip on BART will get me there in no time. Worlds is a different story, unless I win a free trip (which I doubt I will), there's absolutely no way I can get to Worlds. :( I have no money.

is he coming?

He (William Hung) was at our Gym Challenge in Portland. At that time he was not positive he would be in the Bay Area during the Stadium, but he did say if he was in town he'd be there!

Well I am glad to hear at least you will be able to come out to play at the WCSC, it is going to be a blast. As for winning a trip to world you never know, just think positive :D

Yeah, I also heard from Hung that he may not be able to make it to this one, but I got his word that he'll try hard to get there! (^_^)

If anything, I think he'll be at my Prerelease Tournament in Oakland on June 12th (The only reason my shop got it was because of Hung!)

Like I said, seeing that it's just a subway trip away, there's no way in hell I'd miss this one. Once again I THANK GOD (or at least the appropriate dieties working at Nintendo) that it's in the Bay Area this time and not in LA or San Diego. :D

Like BDS said he was able the Portland OR Gym Challenge, and I was able to talk with William for a couple of minutes. He is a really nice guy and is going to try to make it not to win a trip, but to play test decks with the new HL set to get ready for worlds. Which I think is a good idea for anyone wanting or is going to worlds to get use to the new set in tournament play before Worlds comes around.

That would be Nintendo's work, so you can thank PUI at the WCSC when you see them since someone from PUI will be at there.

So, Peter in Maryland, Dave in Texas, who's scheduled to cover Cali???

Dave will most likely be in Cali. The South Challenge is on July 10th, were as the West & East are both on July 17th, so Pete will go to one and Dave will go to the other from what I have heard.
