Another deck that took a big hit from the metagame shift. Absolutions and Shiftry put it in the grave, and Infernape piled on the dirt. RIP, Banette .

Yeah there was a decent amount of masters that played banette in the that age group i don't think some played it with houndoom, since some played with lunasol to help the ape match up.

I actually saw people chickening out of Infernape and Shiftry and going towards Lucario garbage (the cards horrible), so I made a last second switch from Infernape myself (everyone ran Lunasol).

Its a deck that did not win. Wonder how many made top cut. I played Empoleon with eevee's and catty for draw . Those darn CC's and Lunarocks shut me down
