I'm horrid at picking my exact favourite anything, but if I had to name something, I think I'd pick both Dogma and Ghost in the Shell (and its sequel), for various reasons. GitS2 in particular seems paced scarily close to the pacing I use in my writing. GitS itself is simply a well-written classic adapted into inferior knockoffs, like the Matrix trilogy (whose deepest question was, "do Frenchmen ever stop talking?"). As for Dogma, there's nothing quite as amusing as seeing Alanis Morisette as god. When she opens her mouth, people die. That's stunningly brilliant.
Also I'm wondering why nobody's so much as mentioned the word "poll" in this thread, seeing as that's what it is. Then again, seeing some of the replies in this thread makes that not as surprising...
