Rayquaza was pretty hard because you could only use the power once. It is really only good as a tech card but that would make you lose points.

Yes it does, it's move a Fire or Fighting Energy from A pokemon to a Fire or Fighting Pokemon. It can be any it moves off, but it has to be moved to F/F Pokes.

Raikou is hard, Entei is alright Ursaring is alright too. Gengar is hard too!

Even though Stage 2 decks are my forte, Gengar frustrated me. Who shall be it's ally?

Crobat? Vileplume? Froslass even?

Gah, whatever. I've sent in my list. Whether I stay in the T8 depends on Cyrus finding my list good or not.

Out of the 4 of those, I was glad I got Ursaring. Probably could have worked out something with Gengar too, but Raikou and Entei are both ugh.

Gengar isn't that difficult actually, urasring is medium, raikou has some synergy with quiet some pokemon, and entei is so and so.

However it's quiet difficult to play entei in a good and creative way.

i ended up doing Bronzong/Yanmega/Gengar. after submitting my post i felt some regrets over not doing anything with gengars HORRIBLE first attack, and i probably could have used Forslass over Yanmega, but wih any luck i can get into the top 8.

I wished I had Gengar, I tried to put Gengar into the a deck focused on Raikou, but each time the main focus went to Gengar. so I dropped Gengar.
Out of Entei, Suicune and Raikou, Raikou is the worst one to build a deck around if you need to avoid the obvious like Leafeon Lv X or Magnezone LvX.

I totally forgot about Magnezone!

Well since Vire did cost me points on the first contest (while some others got 3 for creative using it) I also did not use that one, To obvious also.

The same goes for Claydoll, go away Clay Puppet, I can do without you.

I think you guys are overestimating just how important "being creative" is, especially in these first two rounds. Creativity is only worth 5 points total, while the overall strength of a deck is worth a possible 10 points. Creativity will come into play more in the head to head part of this, but in order to get there you need to create solid deck lists that effectively use the cards you choose. If you can add some interesting twist to that you will get points for creativity as well.
