Why are there no well-known, good Typhlosion ex decks?

Okay, I know my title MIGHT upset some people, but I want to know and good combos for Typhlosion ex. I LOVE this card, and think that, even though there is not 100% synergy with running a fire deck without Blaz, why there are not more Typhlosion ex decks. Maybe it's because there aren't many well-known combos. Well, get back to me with what you've got! Who knows, maybe it will get into my Plasma Burns v.1.t deck!

GodTrainer, I congratulate you on one of the freakin' best E-on 2 on 2 combos in a while!

We just finished the Tennessee State Championships in Nashville and I somehow managed to finish in the top 4 with a hastily built Typhlosion EX/ TA Manectric deck. It did fine against all decks excepet for.....now get this.....no one would actually believe it......but I got beaten by BAR and SwampyEX decks.....shocking I know. Now given some actual time, playtesting and tweaking, I bet it could be better. I built one deck Friday night and then after I got my duageter to bed I realized my 1st deck just plain sucked, at 11:30, I hastily threw that one together. I may post it later for consumption, criticism and sarcasm......

I relied on electrike's self charge to get energy in play fast..evolved to Manectric, all the while making a TyphyEX, then the turn before Manectrik would get KOed or sooner, Dump those energies onto TyphyEX.
It worked better than I thought it would. I definitley never thought top 4

typhlosion ex is bad period and the only possible combo would be in unlimited with the good typhlosion.

In my opinion, that is untrue. Take a look at Plasma Burns v.1.0. It seems to work well there.

Okay, everyone. Remember when everyone used Charizard from the Base Set? And it cost 4 energy and you had to discard 2? Well, I like to think of Typhy ex as the better form of that. And its first attack isn't bad, either.

    More like 20 times, lol.

Four words: Takes too much energy.

You'd need some way to power him up, and including Blaziken (stage 2) wouldn't be such a hot idea. Blaziken ex does 100 damage for way less energy. Ring of Fire pretty much reeks, it does 40 a turn, and burn is nice, but forty a turn? NOBODY WILL WASTE THEIR TIME POWERING UP TYPHLO EX, because Blaziken ex simply pwns it.

The card is best left in the shoe box until new sets are released, which may make the card more playable. HINT HINT READ THE SPOILERS!

I played Typhlsion EX in the California State championships and made the top 8. During the course of the day I beat a few Blaziken EX decks.

I don't see anything wrong with typhlosion ex, he seems just as playable as Blaze ex. They do very similar things, Volcanic Ash does 100 to anyone for 4 fire, and get rid of two, Typhlo's attack does 100 to the active for 5 fire and you only lose 1 energy. Ring of fire is also better than blaze kick, because it burns, does 40, and the defending poke can't retreat. Blaze Kick does either 30 and burn or 50, which seems less reliable than Ring of fire. And Typhlo is weak to Water and Fighting, while Blaze is weak to Water and Psychic, and Psy is definately used more often than Fighting. So I think they are both just as good as each other, Blaze is just EASIER to use since he is the same line than regular Blaze.

Well, you could always combo Typhloison ex with the Typhlosion from Expedition (the one with the Poké-Power). It may not work as well as Firestarter and Volcanic Ash, but it could turn out to be good enough to hold its own.

Okay, most seem to like blaz over typhy, so let me ask, "Can anyone (besides me) come up with a good Typhy deck that can beat a BAR deck??"

Okay, I understand your opinion that he sucks, but why, to you, does he suck? And how are you sure it is a "he"?

Oh, Im very sorry not to be politically correct. "it" is not good, because it does not do enough damage to be worthy on an ex pokemon.
