The card "Team Galactic's Wager" makes the players play "Rock-Paper-Scissors." This was a terrible decision by the Japanese. As a judge I already know there will be players who will do their best to avoid losing the game by hesitating to make their decision. Also, games like this should never be incorporated into Pokemon because although it seems like it could be fun, it wastes valuable time when a simple coin flip would suffice. What are your thoughts?

    Agreed.
    Or highest roll.

    coin flip = 50 -50
Highest roll has different odds depending on who went first and what they roll

    If I go first and
get a 1 then you have 5 out of 6 chances of beating me
If I get a 2 then you have 4 out of 6 chances to beat me
If I get a 3 then you have 3 out of 6 chances to beat me
If I get a 4 then you have 2 out of 6 chances to beat me
If I get a 5 then you have 1 out of 6 chances to beat me
If I get a 6 then you have 1 out of 6 chances to tie with me

im not sure if it has been ruled otherwise but all 'flip a coin' cards are now usually played as 'roll a die' so if both players agree can we not play this the same way...I mean there only two possible outcomes so as eric/matt has already said a 'coin flip would suffice'

EDIT: by rolling a die, i mean as in evens=heads etc

Why is RPS so wrong for? Everyone knows how to play it (exceptions go to those living under a rock for all their lives I suppose), and by the SOTG ideas, you're not supposed to cheat on it. So I don't care what my opponent says, I'm going to make them play RPS.

but anyway, as much as we'd liek them to, SOTG doesnt matter to most players. It's liek the law. People know it's wrong, but if it gets them somethign tehy want, tehy will break it.

also, yes. i know almost all my words are spelled wrong. i type fast :p

And everyone knows that it is physically impossible to make any action that contradicts the SOTG.

Well, I know, it's just that you'd think players would be more honorable and stuff and not stoop to cheating just to win a card game...*gets laughed at by everyone*

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Funny thing is, if you both don't do it at the same time (even a second could matter), it's always possible to change what you pick. And adding to that, some people will go out of their way to make a vague shape that could be interpreted as something else.

you KNOW people are gonna try things like "no i refuse to do anything else, it's printed this way! *cheat*" or "sure let's high roll *gets 1* JUUUUUDGE!"

what a horrific way to have to play a card. all we ask for is a little disruption and we get this :(

    Yeppers.

In fact, with practice, you can get your timing down to a half-second or less, making it very hard to catch cheaters in the process.

High roll is the best thing to do when you play this card. Simple and fair.

that makes no sense at all. What your opponent rolls if you let them roll first has no influence on what you roll. The rolls will come out the same whether you roll at the same time or not.
