Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Z/P/S/E: A SpeedZekrom Deck!

Elekid is as a starter if you cant turn 1 with Zekrom to stall and deal out damage at toher cards the are important and it has free retreat so if you do have a Zekrom set up you dont have to waste a energy or another turn to retreat anything else, you may get stuck with Shaymin or Pachirisu or even another Zekrom, so Elekid help with the free retreat to get your fully loaded Zekrom out without wasting anything and for the easy 20 damage at turn 1.

Or, you could chose to be a good player, and use those 4 slots for better cards. Only bad players sacrifice consistency/speed to do a worthless 20 damage t1.

Ive played Z/P/S alot because it is said to be a turn one hit/donk. Out of the 100+ battles not 1 of them i was able to use Zekrom turn 1.

I fear you misunderstood my post. I listed 2 types of players, and you're definitely mistaking your self for the wrong one.

I could use a theme deck, and out of the 100+(or what ever random fictional number I want to use on the spot) battles, not 1 of them was I able to donk t1. A bad deck will give you bad results. It's not exactly rocket science...

Could we please take this thread down from the front page? I feel that it is very misleading to new players, and most of the info in it is either bad, or down right false. Articles like THIS being on the front page are exactly the kind of thing that gives the gym a bad rep. This should never have been posted, and will only hurt new players, and the gyms reputation.

I would like to ask that all deck/strategy articles be checked by a good, experienced, competitive player BEFORE they get posted, so we can avoid this. This is every bit as bad as when that abominable Glacion article got posts to the front page. If we really want to help new players, we shouldn't misguide them by posting terrible articles to the front page.

I still think we should have more proofers for the structural and writing quality of these articles. Just sayin'.

Here's a list I'm currently using

Pokemon (11)

4x Zekrom
3x Pachirisu
3x Shaymin UL
1x Cleffa HS

Energy (14)

14x Electric

Trainer (35)

4- SSU
4- Professor Juniper
4- Dual Ball
4- Pokemon Collector
4- Plus Power
4- Pokemon Reversal
3- Junk Arm
3- Oaks New Theory
2- Switch
2- Seeker
1- Energy Retrieval (For mid-late game after when Zekrom gets knocked out. Pick up the 2 lightning energies from the discard to your hand, then use Self-Generation) Fun combo :D

Looks good, but I would personally take away the Elekids as it reduces the amount of you donking first turn, also max out dual balls as if you were to use it instead of collector and have energy's in your hand you can get Zekrom going for T1 and lets say you have Seeker, you can donk even when they have 2 pokemons on the field! Thats broken if you can somehow make that list work!

Can a front page Mod take this off the front page? after about a week of this being up I quickly realized that this isn't SpeedZekrom or even a viable deck. Thank You :D
