Another week, another card for the EX Legend Maker Exclusive Preview here on the 'Gym!

Many of you requested it, and so here's one of the oddest cards in the Pokémon TCG history... Mew ex!

This version of the very first ultra-rare Pokémon has 90 HP, not bad at all for a Basic. It has also the usual Psychic Weakness, and 1 Retreat Cost.

One thing makes this card so interesting: its Poké-Power, Allmighty. This ability allows Mew ex (if not affected by Special Conditions) to use any attack from any Pokémon in play, but Mew has to pay the correct Energy cost.

This leads to the attack, that for :colorless charges Mew ex with 1 Energy card from your deck, then you have to switch Mew ex with 1 of your Benched Pokémon. This move lets Mew prevent any damage done, and can safely come back as Active during your next turn and attack.

This card makes the perfect jolly (or even the main attacker) in a good Rainbow deck, with multiple types of Energy, and maybe some other cards just like Ho-Oh ex (UF), or even Lugia ex (UF).

What do you think about it?

During the following 3-4 weeks, we'll try to take a break on Pokémon, and try to focus on some of the Trainer cards introduced in the EX Legend Maker expansion.

Cool when your opponent's the one attaching the Holon Energy.

Do you think that you'll see a lot of Mt.Moon around as counter-Mew?
    No.

The effects of Holon Energy cards don't apply to Pokemon-ex. It only provides Colorless Energy for them.

[SIZE=3]I think they were refering to Holons Magnaton and Holons Voltorb cards, as they would greatly help mew EX's attack ability

    BTW Mew ex's Almighty is a Poké-Body not a Poké-Power.

No, I put the original quote in my post. If they meant the Holon Pokemon that can be used as energy, thats what they would have said. But Holon Special Energy and the side effects is what was mentioned, and those cards say they don't apply effects for ex's.

Question - on the card the text of the attack says 'you may switch', yet the 1st post says 'you have to switch' - so which is it? :-)

Interesting, if a little slow. Holon's 'Trode/'Ton makes this thing a lot stronger than it looks. Since its 90 HP gets under Desert Ruins and the like, it looks like it might make a good anti-'Cham or anti-Lugia ex.
