Hi, I just made a deck and wanted to get some feedback on it. First of all, I use custom blocks in making decks, and this one is in the Basic block (Base, Jungle, and Fossil only), so please don't give any suggestions from sets outside of those. Anyway, its been a LONG time since I've played and I haven't made very many decks, so I don't really know the balances you should have between pokemon, trainers, and energy. The main theme of this deck is to get the little guys out there to paralyze them or otherwise keep from being attacked while you build up the bench attacking pokemon, and once he's ready, bring in the charizard.
(B=base, J=jungle, F=fossil)

Pokemon (24)
B Charmander x3
B Charmeleon x2
B Charizard x1
B Magnemite x4
B Electabuzz x2
J Eevee x3
J Jolteon x2
J Pikachu x3
F Raichu x2
F Zapdos x2

Trainers (14)
B Professor Oak x1
B Pokedex x1
B Maintenance x2
B Energy Retrieval x2
B Bill x4
B Potion x4

Energy (22)
B Double Colorless x4
B Lightning x18

You're heavy on Pokemon, slightly high on Energy, and way low on Trainers. Decks tend to run about 15-20 Pokemon, 15-20 Energy, and 25-30 Trainers. Now, let's see what we can do.

Pokemon:
Drop the Magnemites, the Zapdos, and one of the Stage 1 lines (Raichu or Jolteon -- I would personally keep the Jolteon line). Max out on Electabuzz, and make the Charizard line at least 4-3-2, instead of 3-2-1. This gives you about 18 Pokemon -- sensible. Now, Charizard is your big hitter, with Electabuzz and Jolteon covering the Charizard line's weaknesses. Alternatively, instead of maxing out on Electabuzz, you could put in 2 Scyther (Jungle) to counter things like the Poliwrath and Dugtrio lines. Either way, the rest of the fix is unchanged -- don't worry about Grass Energy for Scyther.

Energy:
Drop 5 Lightning Energy, leaving you with a total of 17 Energy. If you use Scyther, and you must have some Grass Energy for it, you can change maybe 3 of your Lightning Energies to Grass.

Trainers:
I left this for last on purpose. Drop Maintenance and Pokedex. You now have 11 Trainers and 14 empty slots. Add:
3 Computer Search
3 Item Finder
1 Professor Oak
2 Switch
2 Gust of Wind
1 Energy Retrieval
2 Super Potion
Alternatively, you could put in 3 each of Switch and Gust of Wind by leaving out the Super Potions.

There you go. I'm too lazy to write out the resulting decklist. This version should be faster, and leave less to chance. In the larger Unlimited environment, I won't make any promises, but against a Basic block deck, you should do pretty well.

Every time I think I can't say anything stupider, I prove myself wrong. Maybe I should just stop thinking.
