Here is the antidote for all those annoying big evolution decks.

Pokemon (15)
3 Grimer (Fossil)
3 Muk (Fossil)
3 Eevee (Neo)
2 Espeon (Neo Holo)
1 Mewtwo (Base Set)
1 Mew (Expedition)
1 Electabuzz (Promotional)
1 Tyrogue (Neo)

Trainers (22)
3 Bill
3 Professor Oak
3 Computer Search
4 Energy Removal
4 Super Energy Removal
4 Gust of Wind
1 Item Finder

Energy (23)
9 Grass Energy
14 Psychic Energy

This is one of those anti-evolution decks. Typically the most powerful of all Pokemon Powers are reserved for the bigger, nastier evolved monsters (like Blastoise, Alakazam, and Venusaur; Mr. Mime is one of these as well, though only a basic Pokemon). Muk shuts these powers down. Usually the Pokemon Powers are the centerpoints for the decks in competition (Ditto, Mr. Mime, Damage Swap decks, Rain Dance decks, etc.), and without these powers the decks become useless. And as an added bonus, these Pokemon's attacks will require too much energy, as most evolved Pokemon attacks have a minimum of a 3 energy card requirement. This is where the balance breaks in. The Psychic types in this deck deal damage according to however many energy cards are attatched to a Pokemon. Of course, against the fast Haymaker decks this would seem useless. But since most Fighting Pokemon are weak to Psychic, those decks shouldn't be a problem. Electabuzz and Tyrogue are there as "splashable" types. Whenever a cololess Pokemon with a Psychic resistance comes out (they are usually weak to Fighting) bring out Tyrogue. If the Rain-Dancing Blastoise manages to come out before Muk, use Gust of Wind on that nasty monster and have Electabuzz take him down.

Please restate your question. The Haymaker is a famous deck type that falls between Beat-Down decks and Speed Decks. It goes for quick kills with efficiency with Pokemon like Hitmonchan and Electabuzz.
This deck gets rid of those because the primary Haymaker cards are weak against Psychic types (which is what this deck is based around). As for the Electabuzz, Tyrogue can bring him down if you are lucky (unfortunately, if the Baby Rule flip was heads, Tyrogue is done for).

Well, that would pose a problem. But Bill and Professor Oak cycle through your deck fast (and you can use an Item Finder to get your necessary Trainers back), and Computer Search gets what you need, you can find that Super Energy Removal, bring out that Tyrogue, and elimiate the threat.

O.K. thanks for the generl idea of the Haymaker deck. Now I see how your deck works. In that case I would add anoth Tyrogue. It would work nicely with an extra for backup.

Wish I could test out my deck. It was built to shut down Muks Pokepower, and is so far the only power that can beat Muk. Funny it came out of the same set. And with Steal Chansey, and good Basics that slaughter other basics, it is a most powerfull deck, the only thing stronger are well made hays, and extreme good luck.

10 points to anyone who can guess which Power over rules. I already gave a major hint!

To evolve, treat Eevee poorly, when it hates your guts, let it get ko'ed in th night while holding Spell Tag. PS, if it gets ko'ed outin the day, then it will die, go visit its grave in Soul House of Lavender, next to Fuji
