Allright, here's a deck I'm pretty proud of.
Not as good as my son's Venusaur Magcargo deck (works like silk), but Heh,,,
Here we go
Pokemon (19) 4 Zubat NR 3 Golbat NR 3 Crobat NR 3 Murkrow NG 3 Mew (promo) 3 Cleffa EEEEEEEK
Trainers (22) 4 Oak's research 3 Elm 2 Bill 2 Pokemon Trader 2 Switch 4 Double Gust 2 Strength Charm 3 Focus Band
Energy (19) 10 Grass 4 Dark 3 Psychic 2 Rainbow
Notice, how most Pokemon have retreat costs now, relatively high ones....
Double Gust and either lock or Poison them. If they are evolved, while they are rotting, consider sending Mew up to confuse and frustrate them.
In case of Muk, attack with Mew.
In case of Kingdra, double gust and lock something else in, until Crobat is ready to go head to head.
In case of Magcargo - use Mew, or lock the Slugma on turn 1, and pray.
In case of Tyranitar - Mew
In case of most else Kro-cro it until it is ready.
Try this. Just remember to ONLY play 1 mew on the board at a time, and move it into your active slot before you double gust to guarantee a free retreat.
In case of Pichu, keep Mew in your hand until you have extinguished the little RAT! Even more fun, LOCK HIM IN!!! He'll be stuck and you can flip to feint him, or the bench, or whomever you choose.
Low energy count but it works.
Let me know what you think!
