Deck One - Magneton

  • Pokemon[16]
  • 4 Magnemite (Neo Discovery)
  • 4 Magneton (Legendary Collection)
  • 3 Suicune (Non-foil/Neo Revelation)
  • 3 Cleffa
  • 2 Igglybuff
    Trainers[28]
  • 4 Professor Elm
  • 4 Professor Oak's Research
  • 4 Pokemon Trader
  • 4 Double Gust
  • 4 Scoop Up
  • 4 Strength Charm
  • 4 Bill
    Energy[16]
  • 18 Lightning Energy
Note: Okay, I know 16 Lightning seems like a real lot, but it really seemed to me that I already had everything I needed.
Deck Two - Venusaur
  • Pokemon[16]
  • 4 Bulbasaur
  • 4 Venusaur
  • 3 Cleffa
  • 2 Scyther (Promo)
  • 2 Igglybuff
  • 1 Ivysaur
    Trainers[28]
  • 4 Professor Elm
  • 4 Professor Oak's Research
  • 4 Scoop Up
  • 4 Double Gust
  • 4 Focus Band
  • 4 Bill
  • 4 Pokemon Trader
  • 4 Pokemon Breeder
    Energy[16]
  • 16 Grass Energy
Strategy & Synergy: The synergy between these two decks is incredible. The idea behind this combination is to get a Venusaur out turn two with Pokemon Breeder. The Venusaur powers up Magneton with his Pokemon Power to be out turn three. Then, attach a Strength Charm to Magneton causing him to KO the active (it does 110 with a Strength Charm) and then KO all Baby Pokemon in play (it does 30 to all Pokemon in play with Strength Charm). Before using Self-Destruct though, be sure to Scoop Up yours and your partner's Baby Pokemon. Your partner has Scoop Ups to do the same. This should basically be game especially with only five Prizes. It should work very nicely if they do not errata the Strength Charm like they did to Darkness Energy. The back-up plan is to go offensive with Venusaur killing whatever it needs to in order to grab the last Prize or two.
Rates, suggestions, & opinions appreciated.

This does look like a good strategy -- if all of the pieces actually work in Team Battle.

First the Strength Charm -- Have there been any rulings confirming that it adds to bench damage? That would make it much stronger if it does. This one could work, depending on rulings. Does Plus Power add to bench damage? It will be interesting to see if Strength Charm will.

Second the Venusaur. I assume you're talking about the Expediton one with Harvest Bounty. I don't think that you will be able to attach 2 energies on your turn by using your partner's Venusaur. That would make it very strong if it works, but I doubt it. First the power can only be used on your partner's turn, and you don't have the option of using your free energy attachment on your partner's turn. I just don't think it will work.

What's a Strength Charm?

Cocoa Crunchies are the best, stuff your liver with the rest!
Mostly sugar, that's a fact, they can cause a heart attack!
(Actual chance of heart attack: 1 in every 2 bowls!)

It's a lot like the old Plus Power and was released in the Expedition set. It adds 10 to the damage done. Except it is a tool, so only one can be used in a given attack, one can be on a given pokemon, must be discarded after use.....

Strength Charm's worded like Expedition Darkness Energy. "If the Pokemon Strength Charm is attached to does damage, that attack does 10 more damage." I think that the Venusaur should be able to attach for your partner. I'll check on that this Thursday at the chat though.
