Alright guys, I'm bringing a status check back on this old ECSTS deck from last year and am tweaking it it fit the new rules. My old Shock Therapy deck did wonderful last year at the Qualifiers in Raleigh, taking 2nd place in it for the 15 and up divisions(I am not trying to brag, just giving a rundown on how it did. Sry if this insults ne one.) Anyway, I'm bringing it back for the Charlotte tournament this weekend under the battlezone rules, since my Jumpluff deck tossed me aside.(out of 30+ Fluff flips, I got 5, averaging 1 per match. Also failed 4 Focus Band/Fluff combos.) I want to make sure that the changes I made to this deck were better or worse, and would appreciate some suggestions. Here is the old version(what best I can remember.)

Shock Therapy v. 1.0(last year's version)
Pokemon:19
2 Mareep(Static Electricity)
2 Dk. Flaafy
2 Dk. Ampharos
3 Slowpoke(Neo)
3 Slowking
2 Mewtwo(Promo Energy Absorption)
2 Rocket's Zapdos
2 Murkrow
1 Raikou(Legendary Body)

Energy:16
4 Rainbow
4 Darkness
4 Lightning
4 Psychic

Trainers:25
2 Energy Charge
3 Pokemon Trader
3 Pokemon Breeder
3 The Boss's Way
3 Professor Elm
2 Chaos Gym
3 Bill
2 Double Gust
2 Switch
2 Time Capsule

This deck was Anti-Feraligatr to the extreme, literally taking down every single Feraligatr deck that faced it. I only got 3 losses total:1 was to a Magcargo deck when I couldn't draw anything, 1 was to a Tyranitar deck in which I again couldn't draw anything, and the final loss was to a nicely built dark muk deck in the final round for 1st and second. It was one of the best matches that I had ever fought.

All right, enough with the old, time to bring out the new version of Shock Therapy, which had it's name aptly changed to "Conductive Sight"

Conductive Sight v. 1.0.
Pokemon:20
2 Mareep(Static Electricity)
2 Dk. Flaafy
2 Dk. Ampharos
2 Hoot-Hoot(random ones, suggestions would help)
2 Noctowl(Glaring Gaze one)
2 Remoraid(Fury Attack)
2 Octillery(Suction Cups)
2 Cleffa(Neo)
2 Electabuzz(Promo Rerelease)
1 Grimer(random)
1 Muk(Toxic Gas)

Energy:16
4 Rainbow
4 Darkness
4 Lightning
4 Water

Trainers:24
2 Professor Elm
2 Copycat
2 Pokemon Trader
2 Pokemon Breeder
2 The Boss's Way
2 Switch
2 Double Gust
2 Bill
2 Town Volunteers
2 Energy Charge
2 Energy Stadium
2 Gold Berry

This deck was an interesting piece of work for me to recreate, especially when trying to find an adequate replacement for Slowking. Noctowl is the only decent card that can actually be Slowking:With all the Supporters and Elms that are uses these days, Noctowl will be able to get rid of Trainers that my opponent didn't play because of the effects of a Supporter or an Elm. Finding another back-up attacking Pokemon was a problem as well, since they took out both Rocket's Zapdos and the Energy Absorption Mewtwo. I went digging after this calamity arose, and pulled out a gem from Aquapolis:Octillery! A Smokescreen attack and a Retreat ER power is good in my book. I don't know how effective it will be though, so I'll need to get opinions on this card. Another problem I knew I was going to have was against decks that rely on Pokemon Powers. Sure, you can say that I rely on Pokemon Powers and that my deck cannot work without them, but that is a wrong assumption. I have fought the old version of this deck against a Muk deck with considerable results. So, I threw in the big Muk just in case I faced decks like Tyranitar(the new one) and Feraligatr. I know it may not be logical, but it may just help me in the long run.

I hope you guys have fun looking over then new deck. I'll check back regulary to see what you guys have to say about my deck.

The Dark Ampharos is a very nice touch.

All I can say is that you should definetely get more Muk/Grimer, only one won't help you often enough.

--------------------
Fear Pichu... fear the Baby Flip and his ultimate annoyance, the attack known only as "Let's Play!" which will just seem like the Babies are multiplying like crazy! Mwhahaha!

I thought about that myself, and the reason why I picked 1 and 1 is because I wouldn't necessarily drop Muk every game. If I see that I'm up against a power-intensive deck like Typhlosion, Tyranitar, the Charizard/Venusaur combo, or just plain Gatr, then I would fish for it to shut them down while I built myself up. Otherwise, Muk would probably never hit the field at all. Think of him as a Pokemon Tool:He is just waiting to happen. I will take your note into consideration, however, so don't feel as if your typing was wasted [Smile]

Nifty and nasty deck. I would say it preforms very nicely against just about any deck. I agree with the Muk to... Also The Rocket's Zapados [Evil Smirk] I know it isn't you key fighter but darn it can do some nasty backup.

All right, I'm finally getting some positive responses. I knew holding out here would show me that good people do exist in the world [Smile] . Just in case people don't get this(I can see where it would be misinterpreted) the bottom deck is the one I'm bringing to BattleZone in Charlotte this weekend. The top one was the 2nd place victor of ECSTS qualifiers of May in Raleigh. Also, any mods that the previous posters (PokeNinja and Dark Pichu) would be appreciated, if any can be seen. Thanks all.

<laughs> Not at all, I just wanted to make sure that you guys had nothing to add/subtract from my deck to make it better, or that you were just gonna leave it as is. [Smile]

Teehee sorry for acussin ya. If ya wanted a tade help I'll give a little. For starters there arent many changes that should be made as it is a good solid deck. The only thing I would do is to add 1-2 more Mareep as I know most people would be sure you were going for Ampharos so they would make quick effort to knock it out. So acoarse with more of them your chances are better of gettin your nasty final evolution out hehe. I'll give a little more of my opionion tomarrow, I'm gonna go to bed now. Good luck.

You think your pritty hot don't you? Well you just wait, my day will come and when it does I will be LEGENDARY!!!
