I just got my box of EX: R&S cards, and at first glance, a lot of these cards look like they could really do some damage, I put together this deck to partially because I wanted to see some of these cards work out, but mainly because I want to get a feel for these new rules and the new possible format (All the E-Card expansions and the "Best" promos).
3 Sceptile (Energy Trans) 1 Sceptile (Lizard Poison) 4 Grovyle (Natural Cure) 4 Treecko (Poison Breath) 1 Scyther EX 2 Linoone 2 Zigzagoon 1 Nosepass 2 Cleffa ( Skyridge...) - 20 pokémon
14 Grass Energy - 14 energy
4 Professor Elm 4 Copycat 4 Pokémon Nurse 4 Switch (1 retreat per turn, bah...) 2 Town Volunteers 2 PokéNav 3 Dual Ball (I could go Fan Club, but I don't want too many supporters) 2 MooMoo Milk/Potion/Oran Berry 1 Ancient Ruins - 26 trainers
With no more real strong healing cards, I decided to go with a deck that could utilize Pokémon Nurse. For those of you that have yet to get any of the cards, the rare Sceptile has Energy Trans, while the holo one has a 70 damage Solarbeam for [GGCCC]. Linoone gets any 2 cards into your hand for a colorless energy, so he's there for search power. Nosepass is also for searching power as he gets you any one card for one colorless as long as the defending pokémon is evolved. Cleffa's just there to stall, and if anything's gonna get KOed I want it to be him.
Elm and Copycat would still be legal, so my trainer draw power should be okay. Since about 95% of the good trainer cards are supporters as well, I'm trying to stay away from using too many of those. Dual Ball, I currently have instead of Fan Club, but I'm still not sure on that choice, I maxed on switch because of the new one retreat rule, and also since there aren't anymore free retreat babies that we can send out whenever something is KOed. Ancient Ruins is there as a gymbreaker if anything, and PokéNav is another non-supporter that'll give me a little (very little) searching power. I wish there was a card that could take Double Gust's place, but it seems that we're without something like that for at least 1-2 sets. Comments/Suggestions are welcome. -2 Potion/Oran/Moo-Moo +2 Miracle plate gamma (y shaped)
Look, up as your active. Its a Treecko, its a Scyther, nope its "Mach Cleffa"
not only does it let you shuffle/draw 6 (1 less ) early game, but late game, can screw with a fully evovled pokemon.
-------------------- To evolve, treat Eevee poorly, when it hates your guts, let it get ko'ed in th night while holding Spell Tag. PS, if it gets ko'ed outin the day, then it will die, go visit its grave in Soul House of Lavender, next to Fuji
