I'm tired of Gatr being in at least the top 4 of every tourney we have anymore. It's stupid. The dumbest 5 year old you can find can win over non-gatr or anti-gatr when using gatr. It's sick. I'd rather Take out Gatrs and loose to other stuff than beat everything but gatr...so here's my new deck:
4 Chickorita (Razor Leaf) 4 Bayleaf (Poisonpowder) 3 Meganium (Sootheing Scent) 3 Cleffa (NG) 3 Rocket's Scyther
14 Grass Energy
4 Elm 4 Wrath 2 Time Capsule 4 Double Gust 4 Focus Band 4 Rocket's Sneak Attack 4 Chaos Gym 3 Pokemon Breeder Fields
The Idea is Speed Meganium with a crap load of disruption. If I go first, bayleef can KO a totodile on a heads.
If the gatr actually does get built, (which it always seems to...it's gatr.) RSA + Chaos Gym should slow it down a lot, and Focus Banded Rocket's Scythers should provide a major headache.
Fixes? I know I'll loose bad to steelix and/or big fire...but screw it...for now I'm only in it to eat the broken Lizard.
Man...I can't wait for MMF.

I never heard of Meganium being an anti-gator deck, that's new.
I think you should add some gold berries too.

Yes! Why not set up a topic called 'Ways to defeat Gatr'
Only one person I've seen in my community has ever used Meganium against Gatr like what has to happen in the Gameboy Game if you pick Gatr.A few other Grass Pokemon which are whipping - Base Venusaur is one I used against Gatr once, if not, then a Poison Pokemon.
It's a good deck mind you.
Aipom

Hullo RS, very... vindictive deck you got here ^_^;;
It looks pretty solid as is, but you may want to consider dropping a TR Scyther or two for the promo Scyther, which can do 40 for GG. That way you can take out croconaw if you go second. If you do this you could drop 2 grass for 2 recycle energies to get rid of the "can't use this attack next turn" effect by benching. Or, you could try to fit in some Neo 2 caterpie and dark energy, to really spite that tooterdile
Have fun, and I know you will! ~_^

Like always, Mega Murkrow, nice fix and a lovely pick of suggestions.
As for the deck...not to shabby. Although I must say that due to the fact you are focusing on the utter embarrasment of 'Gatr, you are going to get your front teeth kicked in by a good fire deck.
Ask NE one, a good deck is built to beat all decks and not just one. When you build a deck to beat just one deck, you loose badly to multiple other decks. Not that I'm saying your deck is bad and it will loose a lot, cause I'm not. I just think you need some fire TecH because he's your next biggest enemy.
Good luck!

Feraligatr wont be around for long because the team rocket, gym heroes, and gym challenge will be taken out of modified sometime this summer i think. Since gatr depends on trainers from that set it wont win that much. I like the deck but i would take out a chaos maybe for an erikas bellsprout for tech.

Hey peoples, Rocket's Sandshrew said himself, he's just looking for a deck to beat Gatr, which is hard enough by itself. He admitted he doesn't care if he loses to other stuff... We go to the same tournament, and usually it's Gatrs in the top 2 every week...and everyone's sick of it. =/ Also, he knows that Gatr will die with the new set...but that's not for a while yet, and the tournament scene everywhere else is Gatr (er...Modified)

Thankx DP, Yeah, I can loose to big fire. They're not playin gatr. More power to 'em.
Meganium is a great anti-gatr. If I go first, I can sootheing scent a croconaw on my 3rd turn. If I don't, and they get a gatr, I can slap a focus band on meganium/rocket's scyther, and hit it for 80, and hope to live to do it again.
Erika's Bellsprout is only cool against totodiles with dark energy on it. Since I don't run either (and even if I did tecH a few in, I don't think I'd be able to get it active with a dark first turn...not to mention those derned non-holo suicunes), I just don't think they'd fit.
Promo Scyther? What? I didn't hear anything about that? GG for 40? Can't use this attack next turn? Yeah...sounds like NDe Mantine. I'll check it out when It's released. Thankx!

hmm... dark forretress is actually alright. 2 grass for 60, plus if armored up the turn before, it has a sort of focus band. well a light sunflora deck versus gatr would be good. the really power up your grass bench guys.

Yes, the new promo of the Year 3 Pokemon League Grass Season .
Scyther (Promo 45) Level 23 HP 60 Weakness: [R] Resistance: [F] Retreat: [C] [GG] Slashing Strike (40). Scyther can't use this attack during your next turn. (Benching or Evolving Scyther ends this effect).
Uhm that's not verbatim, but is pretty much it. Anyways, I think its a LOT better than Rocket's Scyther if the goal is Anti-Gatr. It's much faster, and works well with Pokemon Center. Might want to try a Pokemon Center + Energy Stadium combination or something.
