Yes, I do not like Feraligatr. However, this would be a deck I would use in some Apprentice matches. I didn't want to release this deck idea until after Champions come out, but I have a great idea. The idea might sound crazy in Modified, but I have a great plan:

Pokémon (21)
4x Totodile (50 HP, have to start here)
4x Croconaw (use Sweep Away to discard cards)
4x Feraligatr (2 Riptide, 2 Chomp)(see strategy below)
2x Girafarig (Neo, use for tech against Crobat; can't think of any other Psychics that take Colorless)
2x Aerodactyl (Neo 3, see strategy below)
4x Cleffa (card draw)
1x Suicune (Neo 3, non-holo)

Energy (19)
19x Water Energy

Trainers (20)
4x Professor Elm
4x Gold Berry
4x Fossil Egg
2x Lucky Stadium
2x Pokémon Breeder Fields
2x Bill's Teleporter/Bill (if it comes out in Champions)
2x Miracle Berry (tech against Dark Gengar)

Strategy: This deck contains both versions of Feraligatr. Get out either Feraligatr. Use Aerodactyl's power to use Sweep Away to discard, flip tails on Chomp Feraliagtr's power to discard, use Riptide Feraliagtr's Power to discard more, and use the other back-up cards to annoy your opponent. Even retreat costs can help you out here.

The whole deck doesn't center on Riptide Feraligatr, although most of the cards are there to help it. Chomp Feraligatr can deliver up to 140 damage if you flip all the heads and have a lot of damage on you. Chomp Feraliagtr can start out doing at least 50 damage. Suicune to annoy your opponent, Girafarig for tech against Crobat, and Aerodactyl for its power.

See what you think. Rate/fix/do whatever.

I would only point out that Miracle Berry may not be much help against Dark Gengar. If you're already Asleep when you attach it, your Pokemon will awake after your turn is over, meaning it'll just be put right back to sleep again when Dark Gengar attacks again. You'll never be awake during your turn. Full Heal Energy would be much more useful if you are concerned about Dark Gengar.
