23 trainers
2 super scoop ups
2 double gusts
2 rocket's hideout (for dard muk)
2 impostor oaks revenge
3 elms
2 gold berries
2 berries (for the babies)

good thing about this is that it's a mostly free retreat deck

You say you're NEW to the game? geez... I doubt my first "new deck" could even hold a candle to yours (or to anything at all). There are only a few things that I think should be changed:

1.) If you're using the Neo: Genesis gligar (as well you should), you should play it for the second attack, slash. Poison sting is great, and unheardof in fighters, but you add a 3rd type by using fighting energy, and 3 types is a little too much. take out the fighting energy, rainbow energy, and recycle energy, and increase the energy amounts to 8 Fire/7 Grass, and you should be just fine.
2.) I don't like either one of the erika's fairies, so just cut it.
3.) The babies are fine- don't worry about them. 4.) As for the trainers... well I'd make the following changes:
-get rid of bill's teleporter (all) and add Mail from bill (from Neo: Destiny).-get rid of the super scoop ups (I just don't get what they're supposed to do for you), and add some warp points instead (I noticed you don't have any switching methods, and this is a modified deck)
-In the place of the energy you removed, add some Blaine trainer cards instead.

...Well, that should do it! Again, that's a really good deck- I tried to stick to the modified format (as I noticed you did), so I hope you like the fixes I made. Anyway, laters.

well I am new to the game, but my friend is a pro, so he gave me some advice too.
thanks for your advice on this. Im not too happy on gligar either, but i havent got anything to replave him withso for the time being ill keep him. as forr the recycle, i kinda like that, especially for retreating and stuff, and rainbow always comes in handy.
erika's clefairy will probably go, Im not finding mych of a use for it. ill probably stick in an iglibuff instead ( too many slowkings around)
as for trainers, i agree on the bill teleporter, although I dont know what mail from bill does and in any case im looking for erikas to use together with the impostor oak. warp point i need badly, perhaps instead of double gust and maybe the scoop ups.
i appreciate the help. thanks again

Are you sure you're new?
If you're new, you should actually be playing a Standard Deck.(this is a modified deck)

Scyther is fast, but not as fast as Scizor.

Scyther is strong, but not as strong as Scizor.

Scyther has a few attacks, but Scizor has more attacks.

Scyther is a Grass Pokemon, Scizor is not(HAHAHA!!!)

i know i know, but like I said, my friend who got im into pkmn tcg in the first place used to be a gym leader for a store so hes pretty much a pro; ive been playing for 2 weeks now and the deck I started off with was a standard jigglypuff wigglituff deck which I tore apart to use some of the cards in it to make this nowdark muk deck (i made it 3 days ago) anyway...

Rocket Feraligatr...why in the WORLD would you offer your "fix" to someone, especially a self-admited new player, and then ENTIRELY CHANGE HIS DECK??? [Roll Eyes] The deck you listed is in NO WAY HIS DECK...it is yours. [Dubious] This guy wants HELP and IDEAS about what could improve HIS deck. Replying to a deck post by just posting YOUR deck is a complete cop-out, and helps no one. Once he finds his way around the board he will see TONS of cookie-cutter Crobat decks to look at, probably even find a post from you with your deck already listed. [ROFL]
Also, welcome to you "the banff"...as others here have already said, having an experienced player to guide you has given you a head start. For one of your first decks it looks pretty good, not nearly as screwy as most "new" player's concoctions.
As far as suggested fixes, try these:
-3 Moo Moo
-2 Super Scoops
-2 IOR (good card, but room is needed)
-2 Berries (if they flip heads, the baby is dead usually regardless of berry)
-2 Bill's TPorter
-4 Fighting (use a rainbow on Gligar to poison)
-15 cards
+1 Elm (max out for speed)
+3 Misty's Wrath (again, speed in setup)
+2 NGR (get back energy you wrath away)
+2 Cleffa (again, setup consistantly)
+1 Hideout Gym (more and more players run three Gyms to counter Chaos and Hideout)
+1 Focus Band
+1 Rainbow energy
+4 Dark energy
+15 cards

This might help, but nice deck.

That is not totally true. I would think that a new player would have better access to NEO cards than the old ones. And it is Unlimited and not Standard.

I agree totally with Pokenaut. One thing I cant stand to see is someone asking for help on their deck and to get a totally different deck posted. That deck may be better but chances are the person will not have the cards.

Banff if King is big in your area up the Double Gusts and take out the Elekids for ND Igglybuffs.

I comend you, banff, you have a godd deck here, it's very impressive. Dark Muk is a strong deck.

(wow, been a while since I did an in depth fix, but this is a special occasion!)

Pokemon: Dark Muk is solid, so you should run more. Drop the Blaine's Dash line, E. Clefairy, and the Gligars. Gligar is good, but mainly in Unlimited (not Standard) with Double Colorless Energy. Add 1 More Grimer and 2 more Dark Muk. Now add 2 more Cleffa, 2 Murkrow, and 1 Sneasel (Revelation). Sneasel is there to remove Focus Bands and such, just in case your friend looks at you and says, "what?" when you tell him about putting it in. Here's what we've got:

-Pokemon (17)
4 Grimers
4 Dark Muk
3 Cleffa
2 Murkrow
1 Sneasel
1 Magby
2 Elekid

Now Trainers: Remove the Super Scoop Ups, Gold Berries, Berries, Moo Moo Milk, and Bill''s Teleporter. Now add 1 Professor Elm, 2 Double Gust, 3 Misty's Wrath, 2 Time Capsule, 1 Rocket's Hideout, 3 Erika (be sure to play Imposter Oak's Revenge the same turn you play some Erikas), and 3 Boss's Way. Here's what we've got:

-Trainers (25)
4 Professor Elm
4 Double Gusts
3 Misty's Wrath
3 Erika
3 Boss's Way
3 Rocket's Hideout
2 Impostor Oak's Revenge
3 Focus Bands
2 Time Capsule

Energy: Remove the Fire, Fighting and Recycle Energy. Now add 3 Grass, 4 Darkness Energy, and 1 Rainbow Energy.

Energy (16)
8 Grass
4 Rainbow
4 Darkness

There you go [Smile] ! good luck in tournaments [Big Grin] !

Heres my fix to the deck.

+3 Grass Energy (Putting up the Energy Count a bit)
+3 Fire Energy (Putting up the Energy Count a bit)
+3 Misty's Wrath (Drawing Power)
+1 Dark Muk (Faster to get out)
+1 Professor Elm (Extra Drawing Power)
+1 Focus Band (You can never have enough)
+1 Rainbow Energy (Another one could come in handy)
+2 Pokemon Breeder Fields (To help get both your Evolutions out)
-4 Fighting Energy (Not worth putting another energy type for Gligar)
-3 Moo Moo Milk (Just not worth it because of the flip)
-2 Super Scoop Up (Just doesn't cut it)
-2 Imposter Oak's Revenge (You should only use it for your trying the Trap combo)
-2 Berry (Babies will die with opponent get head, use Focus Band instead)
-1 Erika's Clefairy (Not worth using)

Finally here is the deck. Enjoy

Pokemon 18
1 Cleffa
1 Magby
2 Elekid
2 Gligar
3 Grimer
3 Dark Muk
3 Blaine's Ponyta
3 Blaine's Rapidash

Trainers 21
4 Professor Elm
4 Focus Band
3 Misty's Wrath
2 Pokemon Breeder Fields
2 Gold Berry
2 Double Gust
2 Rocket's Hideout
2 Erika

Energy 21
4 Rainbow Energy
1 Recycle Energy
8 Grass Energy
8 Fire Energy

BTW thats a great for just a beginnner.
