Well here is the deck! The strategy follows...

Pokemon:19
4x Oddish
4x Gloom
3x Vileplume
2x Cleffa
1x Tyrogue
1x Elekid
2x Murkrow
2x Igglybuff

Trainers:27
4x Professor Elm
4x Pokemon Trader
4x Copycat
3x Double Gust
3x Switch
3x Gold Berry
2x Focus Band
1x Pokemon Center
2x Energy Stadium

Energy:14
7x Grass
2x Full Heal Energy
3x Dark Energy
3x Metal Energy

Well obviously Swarm with Vileplume and Poison. But attack with Vileplume and when it is confused attach a Metal Energy. Metal Prevents 20 self damage so no damage would be done if confusion backfires on Vileplume. The teched Pokemon Center is in late game when all my Vileplumes have lots of damage. I just remove it and attack with babies while powering the 'Plumes up again! Murkrow is to resist 'Plumes weakness, psychic. Thanks for all of your fixes in advanced! BTW this deck is like 19-3 and recieved first place going 3-0 on November 10th at Dragon King in St. Louis!

If you are worried about steelix (why, you know he will be torched by the mad magcargos running around DK), there are two easy answers for you:

1. Use paint Smeargle. Anyone who doubts the power of this card has never had their 2 darkness murkrow painted purple or brown. Ask newman, it's painful. Also, when you paint a steelix, it is penalized for its use of metal energy, so tail crush can only do 20 or 40, and if you are resistant, 0 or 10! As anyone who uses paint smeargle knows, the card bites if you flip tails.

2. Magnifier. This will allow you to accrue damage on Steelix, for at least a turn. Thank goodness Steelix cannot one hit KO anything big, and your vileplumes will poison him with their powers.

Just a warning - all of my boys decks are being teched for this weekend. Should be another great weekend of battling at DK!

Also - looks as though we may have an opp to run at least 2 times a month, battlezone on Sundays at DK, straight tourneys, DCI sanctioned, for all the players who cannot make Wed nites, and want to play some serious poke. More info on that as it comes.

See you on the boards.

Lol I am adding Smeargle! And Mega Murkrow is using Vileplume/Steelix -_- But hopefully Smeargle will pull through! Along with Murkrow. I told him about all the Magcargos. But I think Metal Petal will do pretty good this weekend. It is 20-4 currently. Losing once to each of Meganium's sons and an E Butterfree and a Steelix/Magneton(no Smeargle tech) So here is the new fix on the deck...
-1 Energy Stadium

+1 Smeargle(I may add more)

See You Sunday!

You know, I probably SHOULD be flattered that everyone and their MOM is teching against my deck for this weekend, but as hard as I try to search for it I just can't seem to find that feeling -_-;;

Regardless, despite what Meg45 says, put a time cappy in your deck. Relying on your opponent's potential capsule in their deck is dangerous, as they tend to play it at times that would benefit you very little. One frequent scenario is when you take down their first big hitter before one of yours dies and they capsule their stuff back in before you even have anything in your discard pile. Then, once your stuff is gone, it's gone! Plus, do you really think I'll play capsule if it means facing your smeargle again? ;p

Good luck this weekend! [Big Grin]

Ho, ho, ho....

Murkrow knows my hatred for the capsule....

Guess what? Glad you're playing it... Can't wait for Aquapolis to come out to make it moot.

Vileplume Steelix....Interesting...A deck with absolutely no good basics, hmmm, what card could attack that,,,, Mew [Bored]

You really missed a good league Colin. Newman said he wanted to quit. Couldn't get through either my Gengar or my Crobat deck...

Happiness is painting a Murkrow Purple! Especially when it has 2 darks!

I am working on that Gengar/Smeargle Deck...It will be interesting.

See you on the boards.

Lol I will consider the time capsule. Is Newman coming this weekend?

Hopefully Murkrow will be paired with the Fire decks... Haha And I can avoid the Stelix [ROFL]

Oh well... What is the Gengar deck Meganium?

Good Luck to you Murkrow!
