After reading the CotD reviex, I pulled out Golem and started thinking of how to make him work effectively. The obvious problem is the Water wekaness and the 4 NRG cost of his attack. the Retreat is not as big a concern as we have more options available in Card-e. So here is the deck I came up with.
Pokemon 20 4 Geodude (2 Rev, 2 E 4 Graveler (2Rev. 2 E) 3 Golem (E) 3 Electabuzz (E) 2 Cleffa 2 Tyrogue 2 Hitmonlee (E)
Trainers 25 4 Bill 3 Elm 4 Focus Band 4 Switch 4 Gold Berry 2 Energy Stadium 4 Energy Search
Energy 15 8 Fighting 4 Electric 3 Recycle
The Electabuzz performs 2 tasks. First I can NRG search either with the trainer or his attack. Then I can power up my Golem on the bench while doing damage. Plus he counters the Water weakness. With a FB on him, I hope to get Golem built a little faster. Rogue with a focus band allows me to add NRG to get out Lee and do 30 Damage to the bench. Bye Bye Baby!! The only thing I would really like to add is Strength Charm, but I only have 1 right now. SuXoRz!!! Like I said, this is just a thought deck and hasn't been tested. I figure using a combo weakness Golem line ensures the possibility of at least getting 1 going.

GASP!!! You actually did what I set out to do... make a Golem deck!!! Well My tip is only this, drop 4 bills, add 1 elm and 3 copy cats/ oaks reserach and it'll be better. Plus you may wanna try ecogym.

One of the kids at the league I go to has a Golem deck, and I must say it's quite good. Watch out for fast water decks, though.
Hmm...do you really need energy search? It's not that useful, I've found. Other than that, not bad.
