Okay, this is the first time I've ever submitted my deck, so be gracious please. Anyway, Baby Blaster is a simple Raindance theme with a Baby Pokemon emphasis. I don't play 30 Trainers, and am not so inclined toward that goal.

Pokemon (16):
4 Squirtle (1 TR, 3 EXP)
3 Wartortle (BS)
2 Blastoise (BS)
1 Kyogre EX (R/S)
2 Tyrogue (ND)
1 Cleffa (NG)
1 Elekid (NG)
1 Zigzagoon (R/S)
1 Linoone (R/S)

Trainers (20):
3 Pokemon Trader
3 Switch
2 Bill's Maintenance
2 Gold Nut
2 Pokemon Breeder
1 Computer Search
1 Fisherman
1 Professor Elm
1 Professor Elm's Training Method
1 Sabrina's Gaze
1 Star Piece
1 Super Potion
1 Town Volunteers

Energies (24):
22 Water
1 Double Colorless
1 Full Heal

EDITED. The Baby Pokemon play a dual role of stall while I build up Blastoise. Linoone is there to (hopefully) do some serious damage. But more important, it too is useful to drawing out Blastoise.

Finally, this is understandably not going to win a Pokemon championship, but for the competition I have, it's above average to rather good (not excellent, but that is not my goal).

Hmmm..... Interesting variation of raindance.
I would prolly suggest removing a few water energy for a few more pokemon or maybe sum draw/search power. Just a suggestion, good luck [Smile]

It is an interesting variation. Hehe I have been hesitant to post the deck because I like the theme (and I suspect most don't). Anyway, more info...

This deck is actually a half-breed. 30 of the cards are from Trainer Deck B (including a nonholo Blastoise). The other half varies. So, I am limited naturally in that aspect.

Cards that are expendable:
Kyrogre EX
1 Water Energy
1 Tyrogue
Maybe some Trainers, in lieu of other Trainers

Does that help any in your (or others') ability to give input?

Oh, an idea I was toying around with, and may do if I get it, would be to take out the Water Energy and Tyrogue and add 1 Zigzagoon and 1 Linoone. That was actually talked about in a different forum, but it's my best idea at the moment.

-2 Gold Nut (there's no such card)
-2 Breeder (there's no point for them in this deck)
-7 Water Energy (I'll explain why)
+3 Super Potion
+1 Kyogre EX
+3 Energy Stadium (so the Water Energy can be re-used)
+2 Switch
+2 Copycat (to boost your draw engine)

Gold Nut, do you mean GOLD Berry? (Neo Genesis)

I remember the translation of being NUT.

For reason of the 30-card Trainer Deck B included, I can only take out one of those seven recommended Water Energies.

I thought people would know that a Gold Nut is the initial translation for Gold Berry (before Neo Genesis was released). I always liked "Nut" better than "Berry", and so have continued to call it that instead. Just a personality quirk of mine. [Wink]

Anyway, your recommendation of -2 Gold Nut, -2 Breeder, and -1 Water Energy should be replaced with...?

*blinks for a moment*

Carrington, you don't seem to get the point behind a raindance deck...

LOTS of energy, MORE than you need, QUICKLY and READILY available. Not "Just enough energy when you need it". Although Energy Stadium will allow him to reuse already discarded energy, he wants to get as MUCH energy as fast as he possibly can, that's why the excessive Water Energy.

"Gold Nut" was the original Translation of Gold Berry. When Spoilers first came out for Neo Genesis, it was shown as "Gold Nut".

I'll add in my 2 cents (metaphorically AND literally):

In a Raindance deck, the only energies you really need are water energies, so here are my suggestions...

-2 Full Heal energy
-1 Double colorless
-1 Tyrouge (3 might be an overkill)
+1 Professor Elm
+1 Professor Elm's Traming Method
+2 Energy Stadium (just incase...)

What about status effects? I have a friend and a wife who like Grass Pokemon and frequently use them.

Full Heal Energy is not an especially good method for getting rid of Special Conditions. Better cards include Miracle Berry (or the Nintendo set equivalent, I forget its name) and Switch. Miracle Berry can go off between turns, letting you get rid of Poison before the damage happens, and Switch gets rid of Special Conditions as it moves your Active to the Bench. Switch with a free retreater, then retreat back if you want to keep the same Pokemon. This will work even under the new rules, which only allow one retreat per turn. *End rant mode
-Anyway, switch the Full Heal Energies to one of the above cards, drop maybe 3-4 Water Energy (20 Water Energy should be good for a Rain Dance deck, I think) and add another Computer Search and some Item Finders, if possible. Also, I would switch the Super Potion for another Gold Berry (or Gold Nut, as you choose to call it) -- why discard an Energy to remove damage when you don't have to? Of course, a Rain Dance deck does make Trainers that discard your own Energy more playable, so consider Super Energy Removal. Once your Blastoise is up and running, Super Energy Removal can let you discard one of the Energies you attach in a turn in order to take off two of your opponent's, while you can still attach Energy. Pretty powerful, I think. (Oops, back in rant mode.)
-I like Sabrina's Gaze, since you can get new cards and disrupt your opponent's hand -- consider adding one more, if you have it.
-On Pokemon, I would drop one Tyrogue for something like Fossil Articuno or another Kyogre EX. Blastoise is good, but you might find it gets a little "overworked" if you try to use it as your main strategy support Pokemon AND your main hitter.

--------------------
Every time I think I can't say anything stupider, I prove myself wrong. Maybe I should just stop thinking.

Does anyone have any suggestions on Basic Water Pokemon with at least a one- or two-energy attack? Besides Fossil Lapras.

The Super Potion I have for the Baby Pokemon, since Gold Nut is completely useless for them. Of course, Potion would be just as effect, but less versatile for the bigger Pokemon in the deck.

Thanks for the advice so far. I appreciate the brainstorming, and will continue to entertain changes as I get the cards. [Smile]

I think my my final changes were made (in first post). Added 1 Zigzagoon/Linoone, 1 Town Volunteers, and 1 Switch. Removed 1 Full Heal Energy, 1 Tyrogue, and 2 Water Energy.
