Okay, here's the Tournement idea: Everyone plays to win, but how about to lose?! Build a deck (using R-on format) that can fulfill the most losing conditions (Running out of deck, prizes drawn, and bench/active defeated) before turn 3.

I'd heard that Maple had done something similar... I'm just trying for a paradigm shift.

[4]
4 ND Larvitar

[48]
48 Water Energy

[8]
4 Misty's Wrath
4 Professor Oak

The way I see it, you have nothing and your opponent will probably draw a few extra due to mulligans. You'll end up with a Larvitar and lose no matter what. If you had other things, you might actually stand a chance. Or you can play 8 Larvitars and get DQ'd. That's a loss for sure [Smile] .

If you made a deck to lose, why bother playing the game? At least make a deck for fun. /=

The quickest loser is the 4 Koga's Pidgey (Messenger) plus 56 basic energy deck which can lose to just about any other deck Turn 1 no matter who goes first. The only thing standing in the way of perfection is the Baby Rule.

For loss by Prizes you could try 4 Lt Surge's Treaty, plus luck (without the Base set drawing engine), and cooperation from your opponent to get it done by Turn 3. Maybe it would be easier to use Pichu with Tentacool (PP: Cowardice) and Max Revive trainers.

Decking is way too iffy without all of those drawing cards from Base.
