Boost Dragon ScythKing ::: 2-12-2003
3 NG Cleffa 4 Eevee Lv14 (energy evolution) 3 AQ Espeon 4 Dratini Lv14 3 Light Dragonaire 3 Light Dragonite
(20) Pokes
2 Double Gust 1 Switch 2 Pokemon Nurse 2 Pokemon Center 3 Pokemon Breeder 1 Prof Elm Training Method 2 Pokemon Trader 4 Elm 2 Bills Maintenance 1 Oak Research 2 Energy Stadium - get rid of Tower 3 Energy Charge - try to get the specials back
(25) Trainers
4 Boost energy 3 Warp energy 1 Miracle energy 7 psychic energy
(15) energy
Strategy: Get a Light Dragnite up 2nd turn with Boost nrg When he is bruised badly use espeon's power to retrieve energy into hand, heal with center or nurse, slap boost back down and back into action. After L Dragonite has beat on somebody big and laid down some damage AQ Espeon can do some real hurt with its attack. I'd really like to max out on Center or nurse as this is a swarm deck. I'd like to stick another breeder in there (I only use the Dragonaire in emergencies). I'd also think Forest Guardian would be good to cherry pick from the top 7 cards to maybe get the breeder or the boost.
This deck playtests well and is just as frustrating as Kingdra. Most players tend to ignore the Espeon until it's too late - that thing can hurt you if there's and sort of damage on your big pokes. I almost wanna try to pair it with AQ Steelix! Opinions, suggestions - have at it... my son may run this at SBZ just to see how it'll do...

This Deck outta work well, It is possible better than my Dragonite deck with Alakazam. I originally intended it to use Draginairs Healing Wave, while abusing Miraculois Wind's Power. Damage Swap and Neo3 Blissey with good healing Trainers were usually good enough to use Light Wave attack from Dragonite most of the time. Some helpfull hints to help this deck, while you are abusing Boost Energy (and Since you maxed them out) use the new Blissey. 3 Damage counters for each Boost attached, and a heads flip. And since they will stay attached, flip away every turn.
-2 Eevee -1 Espeon -1 Dratini -1 L Dragonair -1 Prof Elms Training Method -2 Energy/Power Charge -2 Bills Mantinece -3 Psychic -1 Elm or Cleffa
+2 Chansey (AQ, 100HP) +2 Blissey (AQ) +1 Aipom (NG, Pilfer Rocks) +1 Center +1 Nurse +2 Oaks Research/Copycat +3 Fucos Band +1 Pokemon Fan Club +1 Towns Volunteers
Okay, Focus Band is a must. there are a few Pokemon able to 1 hit KO this monster, plus helps stall to get a Center/Nurse. Volunteers is here just in case, Aipom can get back anything for 1 flip, and I dont see the need for 3 Energy/Power Charges anyways. You dont need to many Psychics, but you may cut out Miracle Energy for 1 more Psychic instead. Blissey's Power with Boost is incredible, 2-3 remaining boost on it can really help out stall potential, but you must switch out injured Pokes and put them to the bench. That is probably why I like Zam better. Warp Energy, Switch and Double Gust should help with that. Eevee can easily find his own evolutions, so I suggest including the same number of Eevee's as it evolutions. since you use breeder, 1 less Dragonair shouldnt hurt. I generally only play 2 Cleffa, and 3 Elm, but that is my preference (too many decks, limits trainers) and still run decks fine. If you have them, Oak or Cat will help with card drawing over Bill M. The Fan Club can help get Basics since I dropped Evolines down some, makes finding needed basics easier.
-------------------- To evolve, treat Eevee poorly, when it hates your guts, let it get ko'ed in th night while holding Spell Tag. PS, if it gets ko'ed outin the day, then it will die, go visit its grave in Soul House of Lavender, next to Fuji

Hey Scythking I have never had access to the Light Dragonite so I'm kinda clueless on what his power is and how a deck uses it to there advantage. Think you can fill me in?

I played Light Dragonite at the MI SBZ. Here's the deck I played: Light Dragonite [18] Pokemon <3> Cleffa lvl 6 - genisis <3> Eevee lvl 14 – discovery <3> Espeon Aquapolis <4> Dratini lvl 14- destiny <2> Light Dragonair lvl 35 <3> Light Dragoniite lvl 47
[30] Trainers <4> Elm <3> copycat <1> Oaks research <4> Trader <3> Focus Bands <3> Breeder <3> Double Gust <4> Pokecenter <3> Pokemon nurse <1> Town Volunteers
[13] nrg <4> Boost Energy <1> Miracle Energy <8> Psychic Energy I took a chance and chose not to play a gym to fit in excessive healing. Turns out no one played sprout tower (except bruggy) so it didn't impact me. Here's what I found out. 1) I could have played less energy 2) I was prone to OHKO to tyrogue due to eevees' weakness and low basic count 3) In side games, Sprout Tower hurt the deck. So how'd you fare? My son took 2nd and the Junior Champ at the Nashville SBZ. I'll post the revised deck list later - we did have a minor problem with Tyrogue and the Eevee's, I know one change my son made was he swapped one of the AQ Espeons for the Discovery one (I think its discovery???). Anyway that worked well against Pokes that used lotsa energy.

Well if Light Dragonite is your active Pokemon, his pokemon power turns all special energies into colorless. It has been ruled that when you attach a boost energy to the Light Dragonite then it does not have to be discarded at the end of the turn it was attached as stated on the card because that is a property of the energy. So after the turn is over the energy stays attached even if L Dragonite retreats. So basically turn 1 plop down a Dratini, turn two make him active, Breeder the Dragonite, lay a Boost energy on him and start light waving for 40 per turn.
