This is a deck that I was inspired to make following the rerelease of Hitmonchan and the advent of Boost Energy!

Pokemon (19) way too many, but...
3 Pidgey
2 Pidgeotto
2 Pidgeot LC
2 Grimer
2 Muk LC
4 Hitmonchan Base2-Now legal
2 Elekid
2 Cleffa

Energy (10)
4 Boost
6 fighting

Trainers (31)
4 Double Gust
4 Elm
3 Trader
2 Breeder
2 NRG Charge
2 Power Charge
3 Focus Band
2 Switch
3 Copycat
2 Volunteers
2 Pokemon Tower
2 Strength Charm

Object, of course, is to get an early hitmonchan running with a strength charm around his neck to go on "baby patrol", try to OHKO any initial baby without having to flip twice!

I do not anticipate Psychic weakness being a problem, but any Psychic Pokemon that can do damage would be vulnerable to Pidgeot.

Most of the fighting resistant Pokes (read dragonite) take a lot of time to set up, and could be hurricaned away by Pidgeot.

So far this deck has a lot of fun against Entei-Cargo, in that just when they've got energy set up, poof, all back in your hand, start again.

I tested this against a Light Dragonite Deck, and actually pulled off the trick of keeping the Boost on Pidgeot.

Watch out for ex. gengar. It attacks and then retreats for another poke. Also, Muk shuts off pidgeot and elekid.

Pidgeot does not have a Pokemon Power, but I am going to drop the Muks and the Grimers and adding in 4 more fighting energies. My goal will now be to get a Light Dragonite that I play against active, if it ever happens. Otherwise, that is what power charge is for!

so,
-4 Muk/gimer
+ 3 Fighting Energy
+1 Strength Charm

The new debate will be hitmonchan v. Tyrogue.

I think the little guy has just lost his supremacy to a 70 HP BBP (OK free retreat, baby power and colorless attack are pretty good!)

Hmm I don't know, I'd prefer that little baby over Hitmonchan. Why mainly becuase he is a baby, has a nifty cheap attack, and uses the hit and run strategy. And well I would prefer that over a stronger defense any day so I would go with Tyrogue. [Razz]
