Yeah...first of all, mad props to Psycodad, because I'm an Idiot, and missed the pairings, and he came and got me...even though he was my round 6 opponent.

I'd give a tourney report, but I've got the memory capabilaties of a mentally handicapped goldfish, so I'm just gonna put up the deck:

The UnNamed, Unimportant Espeon Deck:

4 Eevee (LC) - Doesn't Get Zzapped By Pichu
3 Espeon (Holo) - Bat = Food
3 Cleffa (NG)
3 Pichu (NG)
2 Murkrow (NG)

4 Elm
4 Wrath
4 RSA
4 DGoW
4 Focus Band
3 Chaos Gym
2 Resistance Gym
3 NGR
2 Pokemon Trader

12 Psy NRG
3 Darkness Energy

Yeah...the deck went 6-0 (5-0 really, cuz I got a bye first round.) in swiss, and for some reason there was no T8. Oh well. Here's the rundown of the decks I played against:

Round1: Bye
Round2: Bat
Round3: Gatr
Round4: Gatr
Round5: Dark Blasty - Awesome Game...toooo close.
Round6: Slowking/Dewgong

As for the deck, I don't think I'm keeping it. I get bored reeeeally easily. I can't play one deck for more than a week. I don't understand how all these archetype players stay sane. But if any of you want to try and fix it...be my guest. IMO the deck ran about as smoothely as a brick, and only once or twice did I ever actually like my hand. I played what I had, but only when I really didn't need it did I have a god hand.

So rate it, fix it, bash it...whatever...

congrats to your win, I watched you play a few of your games, I can see your point about having to play what is dealt to you and not enjoying your hand. Why wasn't there a T8? Did they not want to have people in there any longer, or just felt like being meanies and calling it foff after swiss?

I'm not sure why there was no top 8. I'm not gonna complain, cuz I could have still gotten eliminated, but still.... =/

I'm also a bit dissapointed I didn't see any entei/cargo. I played 3 pichu basically just for them.

hey. nice job on owning the MI GC [Razz]

i like the deck. Very good choice with the insane crobat count i heard was there. only change id make is to fit a few gold berry, as they help a ton in dealing with steelix. i find a 3-3 band berry count works really well with espy. Also, try to fit in an umbreon if you can. Heres what id drop..

-1 band
-2 trader
+2 gold berry
+1 umbreon

i dunno. traders are good since you dont have the PP eevee though...

If anyone besides me deserved to win with Espeon it's you. I'm just surprised that this deck worked so well. I guess the concentration of Feraligatr decks is become less and less, that and you did metagame in a Bat-infested area, and YES, Espeon LOVES to eat Crobat. The deck is smooth and quick. Concise, and powerful, almost swarm-like. The LC Eevee is actually a very nice touch, and playing the Traders compensates for losing the other Eevees' ability to evolve through Pokemon Powers. Great deck, and after trying almost Espeon combo possible, I'm gonna have to give this a try. I just honestly don't think that Espeon can hold a candle to Gatr. The RSA and Chaos could change that tho...

Only change/suggestion: Get a TR Porygon in there. It works, as you know, VERY effectively vs lotsa stuff, and is great Steelix tecH.

Enjoy your win dude, your deserve it! I just wished there'd been Top 8 Elimination, so that you'd got to play my Kingdra/Scyther. [Razz]

Thankx...but I'm not sure I "owned" anybody...I had a lot of good games.

And with two krows, and only 3 darks and no rainbows in there, I just dunno if Umby'll fit. Adding more darks would detract from espy's speed.

Jim,

Thankx to you too. I'm glad something rogue did so well.

If there were 61 Cards in a deck, the other one would be porygon. I just can't find the room. Luckily I didn't run into any steelixes, so I didn't really really need him yesterday.

Actually, Kingdra is my toughest matchup, because it only needs one energy to attack. I was glad I didn't find any of them either.

Having trouble findin room for the Porygon? Well, I think it REALLY belongs as tecH in the vast majority of Espeon decks. So if you REALLY want it, consider doing this:

-1 Chaos Gym
+1 Porygon (Rocket)

Two Chaos along with four RSA should be enough disruption. Plus having 3 Chaos could be a waste of card drawing. I mean you're gonna want to 1-2 Chaos vs Gatr, so why have 3? With two Chaos Gym and 2 Resistance Gym (Stadium Breaker) should be great. That is the only change...this deck looks flawless, I cannot change anything else. Again, good deck, I AM gonna try this [Wink]

Congrats on the win. Nice to see a non archetype win an event. Your deck was good. I played 2 tyrogues teched for electric and eevee but could not get them out. My only other loss was a 1st turn KO to a toto. I found a different meta game than what u saw. I played

I'd also drop a dewgong for a TR Porygon so you can aurora beam Steelixes for a lot...and hopefully take 'em down in 2 hits.

Your energy count is really low too (I even remember during both our games you were energy screwd.) I'd take out both sabrina's gazes for 2 Water Energy.

Looks cool tho, never saw it coming.

Yeah,
I meant trader but anyways, I am on 2 a new deck. I,like you, always want to play something "else". I may still play kingdong. It's really a MMF deck. With all the fire, it will work in mmf. All I have to do is switch out the gaze for trader to make it mmf. 12 nrg is a stretch but it worked with nrg stadium in all my matches except against you. Could be the chaos gym that you dropped in both games. That is a card I won't miss once modified changes. Porygon goes away in new modified also but I will try it. BTW, great name for your deck. Too funny........
