Eh, it isn't the best deck in the world, but it's still fun to play. If anyone knows some tech to throw in against Dark Pokemon, it is needed. Any suggestions?

Pokemon (19)
4 Gastly (LC)
4 Haunter (1 LC, 3 E)
3 Gengar (e)
2 Tyrogue
2 Cleffa
2 Mew (promo lilypad)
2 Murkrow

Energy (16)
13 Psychic
4 Dark

Trainers (25)
4 Elm
4 Copycat
3 trader
4 Double Gust
1 Town Volunteers
3 Gold Berry
3 Focus Band
1 Magnifier
1 Switch
1 Strength Charm

It just rots what they've done to everyone's favorite Ghost Pokemon -- Making Gengar weak to Dark Pokemon, and with them being resistant to Psychic to boot! [Mad] Anyway, Here is my suggestion:

-1 E Gengar
-1 LC Haunter
-1 E Haunter
-1 Double Gust
-1 Gold Berry
-1 Strength Charm

+2 Dark Gengar
+1 Dark Haunter
+2 Pokemon Breeder
+1 Magnifier

The way this would play is to try and get a Dark Gengar out turn two with Pokemon Breeder if at all possible, and then set up to attack with the E Haunter. Use Haunter's Hypnosis on big or Dark Pokemon, and then D Gengar helps to keep those Pokemon asleep while you grind them up using Dream Eater. For non-Psychic resistant Pokemon, E Gengar can come out to play as well -- and Tyrogue can at least stall as well as damage your opponent's Dark Pokemon.

Good Luck!

Nice Deck. I'd suggest a couple fan clubs to help you get stuff out better. I dont think 4 darks are necessary for 2 krow so Ill drop one. Also I would drop one band for another gold berry. One magnifer isnt that effective when you only do 40 so that goes.
-1 dark
-1 band
+1 gold berry
-1 one magnifer
+2 Fan clubs

Those are all the changes that I would make.

Nice lookin' decklist *Misty*...here's what I'd do to erase worries about your darkness issue.
-1 Magnifier
-1 Haunter
-1 CopyCat
-1 Double Gust
+1 Trader
+3 Weakness Guards

The trader makes up for the loss of the Haunter (you have planty of Pokes in there to trade) You still have plenty of drawing. The Weakness Guards explain themselves. Good luck in Columbus Saturday!

Hmmm cool deck. I would change afew things. For one I would add 1-2 Pokemon Traders, that would pop out your Gengars faster. Also I would stick in 2 more Cleffa, that will pick up your speed acoarse and one thing Gengar decks lack is speed. With some more drawing abilities it should pick up your speed a notch or two. And you mentioned some anti Dark killers, well right now I'm not to sure what you could do to take care of them. But if I think of something I'll tell ya. [Love]

I have a similar deck, only I use a 3-2 line of Light Golduck as back-up. It seems to work well especialy against Steelix!!

RabidRaichu: I actually really like that idea. I'll prolly test it out, see how it does.

Drew: Thanks. I like Fan Club; it'll definetely help in setup.

Dan: Thanks again. I'm more worried about Resistance, but Weakness Guard may come in handy.

PokeNinja: I think I already have enough drawing, so I don't think I'll be needing 4 Cleffas and 5 Traders (XD).

ted22: I don't know if I have enough room for Light Golduck, but I'll try him out if possible.

Thanks for all the comments, everyone! [Big Grin]
