A Steelix deck, yay! Dragonite huh! Odd choice (In My opinion I don't like that Dragonite too much, but this isn't my deck so it ain't my place to choose) I can only see two things that this deck could need. First off, I think Elekid would go well with the fact of the variant of energy you need an Elekid could be doing minor damage while you are trying to get the energy you need. The only other thing is that one Focus Band isn't going to go too far so I suggest that add 1 or 2 more. Hope this helps!

The Evolution of Steelix:
My many Steelix deck versions:
Electro-Crush (Rockets Zapdos)
Steel-Slash (Rocket's Scyther)
Steelix's Memory (Neo 3 Aerodactyl)
Whirpool Crush (Umbreon, Dark Vaporeon)
Crush Down (Arcanine)
Kabulix (Kabutops)
Steeleon (Espeon, holo Discovery)

And maybe more to come!

New Project: Swap n' Memory Raging (Aerodactyl [Revelation], Alakazam [Base/LC])

Espeon is 1!

Hmmmm, beat me to it. I was just about to post my new deck and here you are.... [Bored]

Metallix Nite

Pokémon: 18
3x Steelix (Gen)
3x Onix (Gen) (Or SI, I like Screech)
2x Dragonite (Exp)
2x Dragonair (Exp)
3x Dratini (Des)
2x Mantine (Des)
3x Cleffa (Gen)

Trainers: 24
4x Professor Elm
2x Copycat
2x Mary's Impulse
4x Pokémon Trader
4x Gold Berry
4x Double Gust
1x Energy Charge
1x Time Capsule
2x Broken Ground Gym

Energy: 18
4x Metal Energy
4x Rainbow Energy
6x Water Energy
2x Lightning Energy
2x Fighting Energy

I would like to get a third Dragonite, but, alas, I have 2. I'll drop a Steelix & Onix for the other 'nite and 'air. A Pokémon Breeder or two to get the Dragonites out quicker would also be nice, but what to replace?

The focus of this deck is to get a Dragonite or two on the bench. With Broken Ground Gym, your opponent will have to worry about their babies having a retreat cost, so they have to watch that Double Gusting. With the 'nites on the bench, you shouldn't have to worry about the added retreat costs.

Mantine is a natural with Dragonite, now he can hit for 40 every turn. I can see why you may want the Baloon Berry, but I'd opt for more 'nites. That'd be especially useful in a Slowking dominated world, such as our league... [Wink] Plus, you'd be able to do it ever turn, not just the one in which you have the Berry.

BTW, I know that everyone is saying, "Ew, Mary's Impulse?" But with my streaks of head flipping, it's a natural! [Wink] [Big Grin] [Cool]

Have you looked at Dragonite's attack requirement? 1 Water, 1 Lightning and 1 Fighting. With Steelix, it doesn't matter what energy I use. But, if I have to attack with Dragonite in a pinch, I can. I have it weighted more towards Water because of the Mantines.
