I call this deck - "Moon Over Miami" (it was my favorite breakfast sandwich at Denny's). I love coming up with deck titles. I think that's the most enjoyable part of Deck-building.

I have seen this deck around the Net and thought it would be a great deck that my daughter would not only love, but could be very competitive with. Espeon seems to be one of her favorites, but her decks have not been too successful.

So, without further a-due, I have taken all I know of this deck and posted it here for your rates and/or fixes:

“Moon Over Miami ”

POKÉMON (20)

4x Eevee ( LC )
3x Espeon ( ND )
1x Umbreon ( ND – “Faint Attack” )
3x Psyduck ( E )
2x Light Golduck ( NY )
2x Murkrow ( NG )
1x Lily-Mew ( Promo )
2x Tyrogue ( NG )
2x Cleffa ( NG )

TRAINERS (23)

4x Professor Elm
3x Copycat
1x Professor Oak’s Research
3x Pokemon Trader
2x Pokemon Fan Club
4x Double Gust
3x Gold Berry
2x Focus Band
1x Town Volunteers

ENERGY (17)

10x Psychic Energy
4x Darkness Energy
3x Recycle Energy

I put my special touches to it, but I'm sure it could be tweaked a bit. I want her to have plenty of energy, because she's not highly advanced, yet. I wanted to put some Charms in for her, but couldn't find the proper replacements.

I hope there is more attention to this deck than some of my others, because this is my daughters - and I want her to be happy and competitive with it.

Let us know your thoughts and thanks for them in advance. [Wink]

Edited: One too many "M"s in your topic title....

hey, that's a really nice deck :-D

Not much to fix really ! Personal preference for draw speed, but i'd play:

- 1 Professor Oaks Research
+ 1 Copycat

-1 Tyrogue
+1 Cleffa (just fish out the tyrogue with trader if you want to try for an FTKO - younger players tend to find 3 cleffa easier..)

-1 Psychic Energy
+1 Umbreon (If you're running 4 dark, you might as well have 2 Umbreons in there)

Also, you should really play Neo Discovery Eevee instead of LC eevee..it's Energy Evolution Pokemon power allows you to evolve into an espeon (with a flip) turn one [Big Grin] just make sure your daughter isn't tempted to attach darkness to try to evolve to umbreon [Big Grin] soo...

-4 LC Eevee
+ 4 ND Eevee

Space for strength charms...well, this deck really laps them up, so you'd want 2 probably in there. I'd be tempted to either just swap
-2 Murkrow
+2 Strength Charm

...murkrow is really nice in this deck though for mean looking occasionally, so you could just drop it to 1. The other option is stripping the Golduck line- that would give you enough space for 3 strength charm, maybe 2 pichu as well. All down to playtesting/what you find fun to play! The energy is good, you might want just the one Power Charge in there to get back darkness energy...not sure what to swap for! anyway, the fixed ish deck.

“Moon Over Miami ”

POKÉMON (19)

4x Eevee ( ND )
3x Espeon ( ND )
2x Umbreon ( ND – “Faint Attack” )
3x Psyduck ( E )
2x Light Golduck ( NY )
1x Lily-Mew ( Promo )
1x Tyrogue ( NG )
3x Cleffa ( NG )

TRAINERS (23)

4x Professor Elm
4x Copycat
3x Pokemon Trader
2x Pokemon Fan Club
4x Double Gust
3x Gold Berry
2x Focus Band
2 x Strength Charm
1x Town Volunteers

ENERGY (16)

9x Psychic Energy
4x Darkness Energy
3x Recycle Energy

Hey, hey. Sweet deck. This deck may not just be for your daughter. Seriously consider this deck as one of the mabye possible decks of the future. Why? Because this deck can seriously mize Scizor (AQ) which will prolly rise up and take hold of the game unless an effective counter can be developed quickly. Anyways, let me offer you my current Espy/Duck deck...

TEP: Ultma
Modified Format˛

Pokemon: 19
4 Eevee (Discovery)
4 Espeon (3 Disc Holo/1 Aquapolis)
3 Cleffa
2 Psyduck (Aquapolis)
2 Light Golduck
2 Murkrow
1 Mew (Lily Pad)
1 Tyrogue

Energy: 16
11 Psychic
3 Darkness
2 Recycle

Trainers: 25
4 Professor Elm
4 Pokemon Trader
4 Double Gust
3 Copycat
3 Gold Berry
3 Focus Band
2 Strength Charm
1 Professor Oak's Research
1 Town Volunteers

Quick Notes:
*You may want to cut one Eevee and Espeon for another Psyduck and Light Golduck if Scizor becomes insanely popular.
*If Kingdra isn't infesting your area you can swap Strength Charm for Pokemon Fan Club.

There you go. Good luck!

Just as my own little inventive addition, also try to play Dark Espeon if you can. The abilities of doing damage to the bench and to the active can be tempting....

MetalDarkDitto is right, Dark Espeon is powerful, especially against big energy decks like Charizard or Zapdos. I don't use it, my bro does, he has had 3 KO's at once by using one Psysplash.

For the deck, I'd only have to say, add another Umbreon and Feint attack the Defending Pokemon only, that way, you get the extra damage, and it doesn't get modified. (If they have babies on the bench, kill em off!)

--------------------
Fear Pichu... fear the Baby Flip and his ultimate annoyance, the attack known only as "Let's Play!" which will just seem like the Babies are multiplying like crazy! Mwhahaha!

Just a quick reply to my edit on my first post. MF = TR+ , MMF = Neo+. This is not MF. Unless something on Wotc has change that I'm not aware of.

Thanks for your comments, I'll look this over and adjust it. I did mention this at another site, but we really want to keep the Umbreon in there.

Actully man, MF means neo on, since that is the current DCI format. TR+ really isn't even a format.

As to the deck...i'd probably have to advise you to go with gymbo on this one, he basically origionated the deck, and really has the most experience of anyone i know. But hey, whatever works for you.

frist off, Gymbo please get of the scizor i'm sure people are tired of hearing you talk about it. it is not that much of a problem for most decks. so please stop reffering to it. but back to the deck, this used to be one of my favorite decks back in old modified. here is a listing that will kick butt. it is also easy to play.

4x Eevee ( ND makes the deck a lot faster )
3x Espeon ( ND )
2x Umbreon ( ND – “Faint Attack” )
3x Psyduck ( E )
2x Light Golduck ( NY )
2x Lily-Mew ( Promo )
2x Tyrogue ( NG )
2x Cleffa ( NG )

TRAINERS (23)

4x Professor Elm
3x Copycat
2x bill's mantainence (throws those dead cards back into the deck)
3x Pokemon Trader
2x Pokemon Fan Club
3x Double Gust
3x Gold Berry
2x Focus Band
1x Town Volunteers

ENERGY (17)

10x Psychic Energy
4x Darkness Energy
3x Rainbow (goes with every one)

[teach] ok there's my fix, i dropped the murkrows cause you would rather have the darks on umbreon, and it was just trying to push the darks to much. also with the rainbows it gives you more freedom with your nrg distribution. (you don't get the dark effect on the bench anyway) also you'll like the extra mew to hid behind and build up your other pokes, just be sure to fient attack the pichu fast [Wink]

Hey Espeon Lt Gold is one of the best decks in MF.It can go toe to toe with every deck out there if you play it correctly.
Hers my version which ironically won the 15+ SBZ in Miami

~Pokemon 19~
4 Eevee
3 Espeon
2 Psyduck
2 Light Golduck
2 Cleffa
2 Pichu
2 Murkrow
1 Tyrogue
1 Lilypad Mew
~Trainers 27~
4 Professor Elm
4 Copycat
4 Double Gust
4 Focus Band
4 Gold Berry
2 Pokemon Trader
2 Energy Stadium
1 Magnifier
1 Town Volunteers
1 Strength Charm
~Energy 14~
