Nice Muk, jeesh, could do 30 at the end of the turn that the effect hits. Take that Steelix!
Ok, no wait, Gen-REv being rotated out. That would take out 95% of the cards being played at this time! Wow! Biggest change since the first modified format.
Goodbye to - Entei, Elm, Tyrogue, Cleffa, Pichu, Elekid, Kingdra, Magcargo, Espeon, Umbreon, and many others. Yes, I know there are other versions, but these are the POWER versions of the cards. Steelix, Typhlosion, Neo3Amphy, wow, the more I think, the greater this change gets!
Means we will all have to play a lot harder.
Meganium 45
I think I'll at least have to Try Muk.

For a "Muk" deck, it would look good, especially with the Fossil/LC muk so the powers will not be much of problem as far as retreating goes. Although, there are other ways around this nasty power, but this one kind of stood out to me when I looked at this card.

Combo w/ LC/Fossil Muk to get around the retreat issue.
Or... use Dodrio...
I will find a way to make this card work. It's just too good not to!

Not very splashable but both water (Gatr/DarkGatr) and metal (Steelix) just took a major beating here from Grass which will be quite dominant now from the looks of things in the new format... gosh, things are going to be soooo interesting!

I've said forever that grass should be the dominating type anyway! A lot of people, even really "good" players, reply too much on the cards and the decks and not enough on their intellect. Grass gives you a lot of different options and different ways to attack if you're creative.

Am I the only one to see this combo? Use Aquapolis Espeon and Muk together. You lay two grass with EX venusaur, then attack, next turn, pick it up with espeon to retreat for one. For one! You can take out the venusaur if you want, it was just in there for speed. Anyways, that is the fastest muk out there. One retreat! All you really need is like 2-3 energy on muk so he can poison and burn, add in long distance sleep from TR Drowsee, your opponent could be in a deep hole. How about this? Have Aquapolis Muk with EX. Vileplume. You have so many chances of making your opponent poisoned. How about this? Use Porygon 2 to turn two fire energy on muk to grass to use the attack, next turn, the power ends and you can retreat for one. So let me list the combos:
Porygon 2/AP Muk - Change energy to grass for one turn only so you can poison/burn then retreat next turn.
AP Muk/EX Vileplume - Make sure your opponent is poisoned with vileplumes power and muk's attack.
TR Drowsee/AP Muk - If you get two heads, one from muk's attack and one from drowsee's power "long distance sleep", your opponent is poisoned, burned and asleep. Ouch!
AP Muk/ EX Venusaur - Use venusur to add energy fast so your opponent is always poisoned/burned.
Any more? This card is combo-rific!!!

an interesting Muk. Goop Gas Attack may be useful when you want to retreat it, although, there are better ways. Is this the first pokemon power/body we've seen that adversally affects the pokemon holding it?

Really, use the LC Muk's power to cancel out the AQ one's, that way it does major damage and doesn't have any extra retreat cost.

hmmm, when I was a newb, and only just started playing this weird new pokemon card game, seems predictions I made back then are coming to pass 4 years later o_O
A: Nidoking would be fighting I was wrong, as it becamce grass. now, I'm right
B: There would be a burned effect for poison pokemon, because technically, acid burns VERY BADLY. I was wrong again. Now, I'm right
I always thought there was more logic in Nidoking being fighting, since he is Giovanni's pokemon, and he is an EARTH trainer. btw, I'm done babbling

This is just a great grass!! The fucture of Burn looks good!! He would combo great with Megenum and Dragonate E1.
Now we nead to see a Darkness type, a trainer, and one of the specal new engerys (by the way Crystal Engery is in Inquest, you can see the boost and warp but you cant read them)
Also I couldnt find the rairity symble anyone see it?

Muk's Toxic Gas does stop PokeBody's. And Goop Gas Attack would too. PokeBody's are not stopped by Special Conditions.
As for Rarity - check out the check list HERE! and you can determine what the card's rarity is - Muk comes in both Holo and Rare form.

Togetic: Bleck.
Power: NOT-optional. Whoopity-doo. It might be nice with the aformentioned Muk (switch off its Grass Energy with something else in the discard pile).... but because it's basically manditory, it's really pointless.
Attack: What the smeg is the point? Whoo... a coin flip. This attack is SO good, I'm DYING to slap it into a deck. [rolls eyes] C'mon TPC... just add in 1 more energy, ditch the coin flip, and you've got something at least HALF-WAY decent.

BINGO!
As predicted, Togetic's Power applies to only Basic Energy cards. The Japanese version was reported to allow movement of Special Energy cards.
This makes sense, because the ability to discard a Recycle Energy to get back a Metal on Steelix or a Darkness on T-tar would just be too broken!
We don't need any more bannings...
But, now Togetic goes from deck staple to shoebox stuffing... except for a possible combo w/ Ho-Oh...

The only thing the power would be useful for would be to change the type of the new Crystal pokemon,Nidoking,Lugia and Kingdra, I believe. (If the translation holds.) Adding an energy of a certain type changes the Crystal pokemon type, thereby exploiting your opponents weakness.

Good point, but would it count as attaching an energy for that sake? Usually it has to be the one Free Energy card attachment per turn.

Here's the Togetic wording:
========================================
PokePower: Miracle Shift
Once during your turn (before your attack) discard a basic energy card attached to one of your pokemon. Then, choose a basic energy card from your discard pile and attach it to that pokemon. This power can't be used when Togetic is affected by a special condition.
Mini-Metronome. Flip a coin. If heads choosen 1 of the defending pokemon's attacks. Mini-Metronome copies that attack except for energy costs (you must still do anything required in order to use the attack)(No matter what type the defending pokemon is Togetic is still ). Togetic performs that attack.
==========================================
If it were a basic pokemon then it could find it's way into some multicolor decks, but not bringing togepi along also. [ January 07, 2003, 01:47 PM: Message edited by: KYDAD ]

Thank you.
The power is interesting. I don't know any good combos for that. And the power is below average but who says there will ever be a togetic that is playable.

I think you'd have something more than half-way decent there nick, you'd just about have a Clefable!

Is that Togetic will be a collector's item?
The cons is,if you flip tails, that is a waste of turn! And,if you copy an attack that need you to discard energy, what to do?
You might combo with energy stadium.(especially for Pokemon that have special energy needs)
