It says

'Remove all damage counters from all of your pokemon with damage counters on them. Then discard all energy cards attached to those pokemon'

I may be out on a limb here but it seems to me that it is saying that you don't NEED energy cards to be attached to those pokemon in order to remove the damage counters. Therefore, could you play energy flow for example, return all energies to your hand, THEN play pokemon center, heal your poke and put the energies back on during the following turns?

ooooh! Eyes widen! okay then, are there any strategies currently around using Pokemon Center?
I have a slowking deck that is heavily fortified with Focus Band etc and I don't have room for DoldBerry! As you can imagine, every opponent I face seems to try and murder Slowking from the bench, so I could use Pokemon center to heal it, any suggestions/strategies?

I personally combo it with Venusaur, to transfer energy to an undamaged pokemon, then use the center to heal all, then put the energy back. That's the only combo I can think of off hand.

I've used a swarming Magneton (Neo Revelation) deck and it works great.

Magneton's Pokemon Power says "As often as you like during your turn (before your attack), you may take 1 Energy card attached to 1 of your Magnemites, Magnetons, or Dark Magnetons and attach it to a different 1 of your Magnemites, Magnetons, or Dark Magnetons. This power can't be used if Magneton is Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed."

Take damage, move the energy from your active to the bench, heal the active, move them back. And note that it says "Energy card," not "basic Energy card." So moving special energy is allowed.

Couple swarming Magnetons with Pokemon Center/Pokemon Nurse/Gold Berry and you've got a horse.

Don't think this works for Modified, but an old Unlimited trick was Damage Swap + (high HP Pokemon) + Pokemon Center. Keep moving damage to the high Hp basics, which do not get energy, then pull Pokemon Center to get rid of a couple hundred damage, with no energy loss.

Every time I think I can't say anything stupider, I prove myself wrong. Maybe I should just stop thinking.

Actually, since Alakazam (Damage Swap) has been released again in Legendary Collection, this is once again a viable combo in Modified.

Swarm decks almost always abuse Pokemon Center and/or Pokemon Nurse (a supporter that acts like a Pokemon Center that targets only one Pokemon). Swarm decks rely on low-retreat, cheap attacking Pokemon. Jumpluff decks are almost certainly Swarm decks, as are NR Kingdra and even some unusual ones (the non-Holo EXP Charizard). ince all these Pokemon have an effective, one energy attack, you can quickly build two or three up, then when i looks like on is about to be KO'd, you just play a center and re-power i. Not surprisingly, Recycle energy is also a staple for such decks, as you can power most of the afformentioned swarmers with it, Center, then put the Recycle Energy back on the Pokemon that just lost it. Miracle Energy and Boost Energy also work well, since they are discarded at the end of the turn anyway (so they'll be when you use Center). Finally, you can add in Focus band to get really annoying. My Freaky Flock deck runs the non-Holo EXP 'Zard (100HP, 2 retreat, and 40 for C on a flip) with Dodrio to drop my retreat and broken Ground Gym to up their retreat. When a 'Zard survives its FB check, the next turn I try to play a Pokemon Center/Nurse, slap a new energy (or the old if it was a recycle) and bam, I'm back in business. [Big Grin]

Well, the one that comes to mind when reading your message:

Energy Flow + Pokemon Center + Raindance

EF the W to your hand, heal all your Pokes, then Raindance it back on your Pokes and continue the beatdown...

Another Idea for your deck is to use Pokemon Nurse (Support card from Expidition) that way it wont cause you to discard enrgies from other damged Pokemon

I love Poke Center.....

Decks I have used are

Venuscenter
Blastoise with Energy Flow
Jumpluff/Crobat
Neo 3 Ampharos
Neo 3 Kindra

My new fave, Neo 2 Politoed teamed with Ancient Memory Aerodatyl. This teams up with my buddies Poliwrath (Expedition) since you can swich energies around with Pluge.
