with the new decks that are being played, would a EX blastoise/aq scizor deck still be good to play? what could be its weaknesses like decks and pokemon?

Well, Magcargo is still a major threat to Scizor, and even though Blastoise covers him, things like Ampharos will fry Blastoise. Maybe even the Zapdos deck that ruled Origins (which many most likely wil be copying soon) will be a threat, since Zapdos will both kill your anti-cargo Blastoise and will be unaffected by Tyrogue. Light Dragonite (i think) will hurt Scizor's Heavy Metal, since it'll change your Rainbow Energy (which you probably will add to power up Scizor) into useless stuff. (I'm not sure on the ruling, will L. Drag. make the M Energy fail to contribute to the attack, or do they still count as M even though they provide C)
Anyway.. I doubt that'll be a good deck to play. However... to fight big Fire Pokes like CHarizard, I suggest you wait for Wailord EX. It's 200 HP will not only stall for some time, but he does plenty of damage to kill off any Fire Poke. (Combo with Super Scoop up or Scoop Up & Lureball/Town Volunteers to keep your opponent from getting the extra prize)
