Topic: Darkness Energy Confusion

Was or has there ever been a ruling on a Pokemon attacking with Darkness Eenrgy attached while confused. Someone (no names, you know who you are)told me that if I flipped heads on confusion with my active, confused Murkrow, that the 2 Darkness er=nergy would cause my selfinflicted damage to be 40 (20+10+10).
I looked this up on compendium already, but the closest ruling I found was actually for Plus Power (simular text) and Self Inflicted damage such as Base Electabuzz, and the answer was that Plus Power only adds damage to the defending, not to inflicted damage.
if anybody has heard this, can you tell me or show me question/answer from chat or conpendium.

Well, according to the gametext on the latest Darkness Energy from Aquapolis, the +10 damage is only applied if damage is done to the Defending Pokemon. So, a TAILS (not heads as you mistakenly stated in your post) will NOT cause any increased damage to Murkrow.

thats what i argued, but he (who shall not be named) said it would. Didnt matter, I didnt risk attacking, but it might come up today at sbz.
