Here's the situation.

I place a Boost energy on my Evolved Pokemon (XATU). The defending Pokemon is a highly damaged Light Dragonite. Xatu succeeds in knocking Light Dragonite out.

What is the order of steps? Basically, does my Boost Energy get discarded? My guess is that it would be discarded bacause the Light Dragonite is knocked out during the turn while the Boost Energy would get discarded at the end of the turn.

Would it make a difference if Light Dragonite was knocked out by poison?

Has this been ruled on?

I would say that in both cases (you attaching a Boost energy during your turn and then Light Dragonite gets KOed), you would have to Discard the Boost Energy. (If you had attached the Boost Energy while Light Dragonite was not Posioned, then if Light Dragonite gets KOed between turns from Posion, Boost Energy would stay attached).

If Dragonite gets KOed by attack, then yes Boost would stay. Why... simply because You attached the energy this turn, and before your turn ended, Dragonites Power was turned off, unless your Opponent brings up a second Light Dragonite, then it would stay attached

If Dragonite is Poisoned, and dies of Poison inbetween turns, then the answer is still yes. The reason why is simple, but unclear. A whileback it was ruled that all special conditions would also knock out almost all Pokemon Powers, including this one. So if Light Dragonite was poisoned, its power is now turned off, and again, since boost was attached this turn, then it would be discarded since the power was turned off. Ofcourse, if Dragonite successfully attacked with Light Wave (I think that is right) then it could not be poisoned by your attack, though Vileplumes power can.

To evolve, treat Eevee poorly, when it hates your guts, let it get ko'ed in th night while holding Spell Tag. PS, if it gets ko'ed outin the day, then it will die, go visit its grave in Soul House of Lavender, next to Fuji

Going by logic, which we`ve all been told by MTM a thousand times that it doesn`t exist in the game [Wink] ,Crobat and BJJ are correct that the Boost Energy would be discarded in the above non-poisoned scenario.Lt. Draggy would be KO`ed and put in the discard pile during the turn(albeit it is near the end of it but still isn`t the last thing) and the Boost Energy states to discard it at the end of the turn.Lt Draggy is not in play at that critical moment.

This one may go either way depending on the interpretation of "As long as Lt. Draggy is your active Pokemon..." although I still feel as I said above.I`ll verify this at the chat(Chris, that means I`ll ask it...). [Wink]
