If I attack with Toxic, the next turn, the defending pokemon is still poisoned, i attach a grass cube to nidoking and use it, would the defending pokemon be asleep, and continue to take 20 damage instead of 10 due to toxic or would the grass cubes effect replace the 20 damage poison for the normal 10 damage poison???
i hope i made myself clear, thanks in advance....

If a pokemon is poisoned and something else would poison it, the new poison condition replaces the old one. So in your case, the opponent would now take 10 at the end of each turn instead of 20.

The only way to put to sleep and poison for 20 is to do it in the opposite order... imagine the power of that!

From the Compendium...

quote:

Q. If an opponent already has Nidoking's Toxic double-poison, then next turn I use a "normal-poison" attack, does the opponent retain Toxic's double-poison condition (20) or does it now become a single-poison condition (10)?
A. It would gain a single poison effect (the new effect replaces the old one). (April 27, 2000 WotC Chat Q19)

Hmm.
