I do not know if anyone thought of this but it is a good one.... if only the modified was back to Rocket on -__-.... But you should only play this combo if your opponent has about 7 or more cards in their hand.

First you Play Imposter Professor Oak's Revenge... making your opponent ony have 4 cards. Next you Rocket's Sneak Attack, this is good if the next card fails because you see your opponent's hand. and finally you use Rocket's Trap (providing you get heads) making your opponent have no cards in their hand.... although if they draw an oak then you just waisted your cards =/

This is a pretty old, but good, combo. Also nice if you have some Slowkings in play to stop your opponent from getting any of their precious trainers back.

SuperspyMewtwo (nice name by the way),

People started using/abusing this combo back when Gym Heroes was released. As the card that made it work was The Rocket's Trap, it was called the "Trap Combo". People used it on the first turn so their opponent would have no way to recover except by topdecking a Professor Oak or Computer Search. They used it with quick Pokemon like Hitmonchan, Wigglytuff, and the like to ensure a win.

When Gym Challenge was released, people also added 1 or 2 Chaos Gyms to their decks when playing Trap, so if they were set up and ready to attack, once they had Trapped their opponent, they would play a Chaos Gym so even if they did get a card they would only half half of the chance of playing it.

This combo doesn't seem to work anymore. Why? Cleffa.

Cleffa can let you get a new hand for just one energy. Even if your opponent had a Cleffa down, and you Trapped them, all they would have to do is draw an energy and they will be able to recover. The only way to prevent this would be by KOing the Cleffa -- and if they had more than one you surely have no chance.

The combo of Cleffa and Lass has really replaced this. It takes up way less deck space. Ya get Cleffa active, an energy on it, play Lass (so both players shuffle all Trainer cards into their decks) and Eeeeeeek, giving you a new hand while your opponent has none. Trap combo takes up 10-12 cards in a deck. Cleffa-Lass takes 6. 3 if you consider that the Trap deck would probably be running 3 Cleffas anyway now.

Ahh, memories...

What, like the pro-archetype attitude is supposed to be restricted to THIS company, and THIS TCG?
All card games run on archetypes. Magic is 90% archetypes. YGO is 90% archetypes. Pokemon was, for the most part, all archetypes before and during MF2. Pokemon will be archetype-based during MF3. Pokemon will be archetype based when it is under Nintendo.

Viva la unoriginality!

I know I have not been on for a while(a few days but still...)... and arigato...I thought someone would think of this but I never knew if anyone really did... This combo just poped in my head in the middle of a test at school (like all of my other combos I have) and I also did see Clefa as another problem...

On another note, Congrats on becomming a professor (I fail the tests because I do not know how to run tournaments -___-) I wish to have your title too and I will someday if I work harder at it (and study on what to do when running a tournament *sigh*) And thanks again for viewing what I said -_o

Ja ne!
