I think I asked this to nopoke (sorry if i have nopoke, but can't remember your answer!)...
If light dragonite is against base charizard or exp tyranitar, then whose pokemon power dominates?
Is all energy on charizard fire or colourless? (due to miraculous wind)
Is all energy on tryanitar dark or colourless? (due to miraculous wind)
This is obviously assuming special enegry cards are being used on the charizard or tyranitar to make dragonite effective.
I honestly don't know the answer to this...

Charizard's power is activated, so light dragonite wins out. Remember a continuous power always beats a activated power.
Tyranitar's power is continuous, so it works. Remember, when you have two continuous powers, the local one takes precedence.

Yoshi gotta disagree on the second ruling - Active power goes off first, then the Defending Pokémon's power. Draggy blocks Tyranitar's power.

From the Compendium:
Q. Light Dragonite's "Miraculous Wind" vs. Expedition Tyranitar's "Dark Aura" : If my T-Tar has a Darkness Energy card on it, Miraculous Wind would definitely disable the bonus +10 effect, but would Dark Aura allow it to continue providing Dark energy type? A. Tyranitar's Energy cards (even if Special Energies) would still produce Darkness energy. The Tyranitar's personal effect supercedes the Light Dragonite's overall effect. (Sep 16, 2002 WotC Rules Team Update, Item 10)
Unless there is a newer ruling (and none was listed on the Compendium), T-Tar stays powered up.

quote: Q. How does Erika's Oddish's "Photosynthesis" Pokemon Power interact with "Miraculous Wind"? A. Photosynthesis' effect is written effectively the same as Miraculous Wind. Both of these effects occur at the same time. When that happens, you default to Active Player's effect goes first, then Defending Player's effect goes second. So, if there was a Special Energy card attached to your Erika's Oddish (so it is affected by both Photosynthesis and Miraculous Wind) and your opponent had a Light Dragonite as their Active Pokemon, the results would be: On your turn (you are the Active player) the Photosynthesis effect is done first and then the Miraculous Wind is done second so the attached Special Energy card provides Colorless Energy. In the same situation on your opponent's turn, first the attached Special Energy card provides Colorless and then the Photosynthesis is done so the attached Special Energy card ends up providing Grass energy. it's worth asking i guess at the next chat

That's an old ruling. This is the current one:
quote: Q. Like Tyranitar ["Dark Aura"], does Erika's Oddish's "Photosynthesis" power now supersede Light Dragonite's ["Miraculous Wind"] power? A. Yup. I KNEW someone would bring that one up. I just KNEW it! (Sep 26, 2002 WotC Chat, Q567)
Another mistake in the Compendium. I guess they're only human.
Mewtwo: Unlike you, of course.
Of course, I'm an android incapable of error.
Mewtwo: That was supposed to be sarcastic.
Oh, my mistake. [ April 23, 2003, 09:45 AM: Message edited by: yoshi1001 ]

Supercede means to come before right? Well wouldn't that still mean that if you had the charizard and your opponent had the dragonite, that your power would go first then his? If that is so, then that would mean that all special energy cards on charizard would turn into fire then back into colorless?
Correct me if I am wrong.

also wanted to just check this:
if i have light draggy active... can i attach a miracle energy to any pokemon and a boost energy to any pokemon... or are the 'evolved only' and 'shining or light only' requirements not ignored as they 'come into play'
just wanted to check.

Light dragonite does not negate the special attachment requirements of those enbergy cards.
